I posted a meme QT of this yesterday but here's a serious one.
when we started @base, I said to my team and coinbase that we had to back builders in every way we could. because builders would create the products that bring the world onchain.
one of the most meaningful ways we've done that is with the base ecosystem fund. we write checks and then work hands on to help them make their own luck and succeed.
the vast majority of teams we back had no prior connection to coinbase. they are from all over the world. they are taking bets across every sector of finance (and beyond). and they are some of the most inspiring folks I get to work with on a daily basis.
