Tomorrow we ride.
It's been an insane 72 hours for the team.
But the actual journey started 4 years ago. Several hundred thousand commits later (guessing), we are just getting started.
We were stupid enough to build 95% of the Fuel stack from scratch:
- new virtual machine
- new blockchain programming language
- new layer-2
- new sequencer
- new economic model
We did it because we believed it needed to be done. We need chains to stop copying older L1 architectures, stop copy pasta EVM chains, and start something fresh.
Something that could really support billions of people sustainability.
That being said, I do think the chain will go down tomorrow, but it's the start of a journey not the end (we will try our best).
We wanted to ensure maximal decentralization, fairness and community expansion of the token before launch:
- 3 expansion partner platforms
- Multiple onchain programs
- 1.5 billion tokens (15% of total supply)
- +240k unique addresses
These things are super hard to get right, we tried out absolute best and we want to have as many ways for people to be a part of Fuel as possible before launch.
I don't think I have received so much hate and love at the same time in my life. I can only feel for what other projects go through.
I want to thank the entire Fuel team (past and present), everyone who contributed to Fuel externally, our supporters who believed in us when we were nothing, our ecosystem projects who ate glass for years, the Fuel community and all the newcomers to the project.
Whatever happens tomorrow:
LFG.
