It's official: British Airways, the largest B747 operator, is scrapping their entire Jumbo fleet with immediate effect. 1st major hint was the ending of crew training earlier this year. Boeing stopped production & Virgin has already retired their B747s. Good night Jumbo Jet 😓👋

I remember Air Canada had a regular route to Newfoundland from London using the Boeing 737 MAX before it was grounded 🛬

While Air France is terminating its A380 fleet, Lufthansa removing it from Frankfurt & Emirates seeking to scrap orders - British Airways sent G-XLEH to Manila for heavy maintenance. That indicates that at least BA will keep the quad-jet around for a 'whale' longer 🐋

Such a shame to see A380s being retired at such a young age, it's a lovely aircraft to be a passenger in and the crews seem to love them also.
