La necesidad de recurrir a la mentira para reforzar la agresión contra Cuba alcanza niveles sin precedentes con el actual equipo gobernante en Washington. Más desnudos aún quedan quienes esgrimen la fantasía de que los problemas económicos de Cuba no los provoca EEUU.

Curioso que periodistas y observadores de la gran prensa, sobre todo estadounidense, califiquen como desafío a EEUU una marcha de cientos de miles cubanos por el día del trabajo. ¿En qué medida honrar el trabajo y a los trabajadores puede desafíar u ofender a alguien?

No estoy de acuerdo con una agresión militar a Cuba porque eso es una agresión militar a Latinoamérica. Dijimos que el Caribe es una zona de paz y eso debe respetarse. Son los cubanos y cubanas los únicos dueños de su país. El continente americano vivirá en paz si nadie propone imponerse sobre los demás. Este continente es el continente de la Libertad y no de las invasiones. Honor a José Martí y a las repúblicas libres y soberanas de Latinoamérica y el Caribe.

We firmly reject the recent unilateral coercive measures adopted by the #UnitedStates government. These actions demonstrate an intention to impose, once again, collective punishment on the Cuban people. It is no coincidence that these measures were announced on May 1, the very day that millions of Cubans take to the streets to denounce the US blockade and the energy siege. While the US government represses its own people in the streets, it seeks to punish ours, who are heroically resisting the US imperialism’s attacks. These measures are extraterritorial in nature and violate the United Nations Charter. The US has no right whatsoever to impose measures against #Cuba or against third countries or entities.
