I'm not sure the hypocrisy here. Plotting with an enemy state to assassinate the president is known as treason and governments have every right to negotiate terms with enemy states.

The discourse is also problematic because it's layered with contradictions: it resorts to labelling many in Suwayda as traitors due to some Druze actors' alignment with Israel while also remaining silent as the STG holds security talks with Israeli officials, even as the latter expand their military occupation of the south.

Tragic and disastrous? You mean that Sharaa would have reached an agreement with the Druze similar to the NE agreement in May 2025 without Bibi sending weapons to Hijri and pushing plots to assassinate Sharaa in DC. Seems like hundreds of lives would have been saved.
