I've been looking at cars on the road. Why are there no visually asymmetrically designed cars? Apart from functional reasons (exhaust port, side opening tailgate, number plate etc) all visual design elements are symmetrical. Yeah, yeah, I know, humans like symmetry, asymmetry is branded ugly. But why so few examples of it and so many companies unwilling to rock the design boat? Are us humans that wired to symmetry that it's impossible for an asymmetrical design to be successful? Only major production example I can think of is the Nissan Cube, and they only did it because it's part of the functionality of the side opening tailgate.

Because we virtually give away an entire hydro-dam's worth of power to Rio Tinto for their aluminium smelter. A huge multinational has its profits subsidised by people who can barely afford their own power newstalkzb.co.nz/on-air/mike-ho…

@wirbel_flak @pshs04 I'm actually looking at dusting off the covers and creating a new prototype. The perfect power-plant for rapid interceptors that can be used against attack drones. I better hurry, I'm 73 and my clock is ticking. Still have to pay the bills though so time is limited.

@xjet @pshs04 Dare I ask, are any X-Jets still for sale? Sincerely interested since there seems to be high potential for demand in the market at scale.

SEG magnetics already has a working model of a free energy device and they lack funding. It fits in a breakfast table. It doesn't take billions of funding or dollars. They've had it for nearly a decade, if not more. They allow visits to see it in person, so people can see it and check if they are lying or not. They are based in California. The company was originally founded by John Searl. They have been ignored. segmagnetics.com Current president: @TheRealVerbz

@davepl1968 Hmmm... memories of hand-coding assembler to hex-codes, with pencil and paper in one hand, CPU instruction manual in the other. That's when you had to be a real man to program a computer!

If you used a compiler, you did not, in fact, "personally build" it. Heck, if you used an assembler, you're benefiting from the labor of the assembler author. Get busy flipping switches!

@PatrickMoorhead If you used tokens and AI, you did not, in fact, "personally build" it. Millions of people whose work was stolen built it. You benefited from it.

I see that access to read "askGrok" replies is now restricted to paid users of X. That's probably meant to be an incentive to subscribe. Well think again, it makes me reconsider the use of the platform at all. @elonmusk

@tommoor I'm still looking for the "no shorts" option when filtering search results. It seems to be missing. Same with the "No AI" filter. All missing in action. YouTube believes that it knows better than you when it comes to the stuff you want to see.

@defnotchiefYTA As a YT creator of almost 20 years I refuse to use mid-roll ads in my videos. Prerolls - yes. Postrolls - yes. However, I value my viewers too much to burden them with the evil that is midroll ads. What a shame more creators can't also show some respect for their viewers.

YouTube is straight up robbing and don't even try to hide it 😂 Monetized ~7 channels last week, activated ads, mid-rolls, everything set up properly as always. Week later I notice ALL 7 channels YouTube "forgot" to activate mid-rolls on the viral video of EACH channel. So, always activate mid-rolls 2 to 3 times per video. Select all videos and reactivate just to be 100% sure it actually saved. (And check your viral video lol) Trust nothing, verify everything.💀

I wonder if all this age-gating on the internet is simply a cunning ploy by VPN companies to boost their own profits :-) Gold, silver, oil, DRAM and VPN stocks -- all headed to the moon!

I just bought a cheap (US$10) face-tracking camera mount. How on earth do they make this stuff that cheap? I teardown is coming. Could I use the tracker tech to make a cheap drone with follow-me capabilities I wonder?
