Aussies: “We need to minimise immigration.” Gov: “No, we aren’t doing that.” Aussies: “Rent is too expensive.” Gov: “Good point. We’ll increase costs for landlords so they have to charge you more.” Aussies..."Electricity is too expensive" Gov..."We're committed to net zero...regardless of the cost to you!" Aussies: “I can’t keep up with the cost of living.” Gov: “Too bad. We can’t stop spending more than we’re making, so inflation will keep rising.” Aussies: “The NDIS is scamming taxpayers out of millions every year.” Gov: “Yeah, but we don’t want to offend the NDIS scammers — they might call us racist.” Aussies: “Okay fine, we gave you a chance. We’re voting @OneNationAus.” Gov: “You filthy, uneducated racist.”

@Linahuaa Sadly though you have no access to the Internet, unless you have a VPN which is forbidden for the vast majority of Chinese people. You also suffer from an obvious inferiority complex and have to continually tweet about how great China is.

Freedoms I have in China, but don't have in the West >walking anywhere at night safely >having cleaner, personal chef, personal driver etc that can FREE up my time >giving my cleaner the key to my house without having to worry about getting robbed >almost zero bureaucracy and low taxes that enable to me start any kind of company EXTREMELY easily >Freedom from dumbness lawsuits: you can get sued by all kinds of bullshit in the West -> China is WAYYY more common sense with their laws. >zero fear of getting pulled over by police: Chinese police are nice, they almost never bother you, even if you objectively did sth wrong. In Germany, I once started the motor before putting on the seatbelt and some shitty police officers had nothing better to do than pull me over, make me take breathalyzer test, and waste like one hour of my life >24/7 delivery of ANYTHING. My hdmi cable breaks down during a class -> some delivery guy can get it for me in a brick and mortar shop and being it instantly >Freedom from identity politics and culture wars. I lost friends and got banned on LinkedIn for saying Blacks get treated better than Asians, all things considered. In China I have defacto more free speech. It's because Asians are generally more tolerant about differing world views ------ Freedoms I have in the West that I don't have in China >smoking weed >could start a religious cult if I wanted

Australia’s relationship with China is built on strong bonds between our peoples. It's important for our economy, security and the stability of our region. And by having regular and direct dialogue, we can explore areas of cooperation, navigate our differences and advocate for Australia’s interests. Welcome to Australia, Chairman Zhao 🇦🇺🇨🇳

The China bots are especially active recently, so here's a quick reminder that Russia's war machine would have collapsed long ago were it not for all the help Russia gets from China. Russia is really just China's proxy, which means it's really China that's waging war on Europe...

This is a 1995 footage of Chinese warship & militia blocking a Filipino ship, YEARS before US plan to construct facilities in Philippines. China’s aggression isn’t new. It’s been provoking regional chaos for decades. Stop the lies. The real threat to peace is China.
Lin Jian 林剑@SpoxCHN_LinJian

Q: The US defense secretary yesterday reaffirmed the US’s defense commitment to the Philippines, saying that it extends to armed attacks on the Philippines’ Coast Guard vessels in the South China Sea. What is China’s comment? A: Whatever cooperation the US and the Philippines have, it should not target or harm any third party, still less incite confrontation and heighten tensions in the region.

China loves to talk big about saving the planet... but guess what? They're burning 2 out of every 3 chunks of coal used in the whole world. And they pollute more than all developed countries combined. @MM81792127 @Jay83214566

@globaltimesnews Such free trade agreements are useless when China proved to be a hostile and unreliable trade partner slapping punitive tariffs on Australia for seeking greater clarity on the origins of COVID-19.

#China’s minister of commerce and secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the implementation and review of the China-Australia free trade agreement (#FTA). As 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the FTA’s implementation, both sides will maintain close cooperation, continue the high-quality implementation of the agreement, and jointly conduct a review to identify areas for further improvement or expansion, according to a statement on the Chinese commerce ministry's website on Wednesday. I bet those guys viciously cursing communism under my post haven't read a single page of "The Communist Manifesto", "Capital: A Critique of Political Economy", or "Selected Works of Mao Zedong". They were just taught from childhood that communism is evil. They can't even tell communism from socialism. They're just brainwashed.

President XiJinping: What the CPC says it all holds weight... let's roll up sleeves and work hard for a better life ahead. Chinese national leaders' public speeches rarely have the emotive flair of their Western counterparts. Their rhetoric is often plain and unadorned. But they must take responsibility for every word they say, unlike Trump, who might say, "It's all Biden's fault!"

@thinking_panda Bragging about incomes rising to $2.30 per day is hardly a flex. By any measure China is a very poor country and it is mostly the elite CCP members who have become wealthy.
