@mbauwens Lack of childcare is as much about degraded social fabric as it is about economics

@KubaFYI I think some forms of device intrusion in public spaces will fall out of favour quite suddenly (e.g. phones held up at concerts), but reversal of attention capture feels less likely

30 years ago cigarettes were everywhere: restaurants, waiting rooms, parks, trains. Not it’s unthinkable. It’s nice to think that, at least in principle, the reign of digital attention capture and erosion of the public realm is not necessarily forever

@yoltartar I've made a simple version: brandmint.ai/color-genie The index needs some tuning so it's a bit slow right now, but if it times out you can just repeat the query and get results.

@yablochko no and that's a cool idea, would also be fun to search for color palettes that way

Has anyone seen in the wild a semantic search product for finding *colors*? e.g. arbitrary text query like "lush jungle" or "drab concrete" transformed into a hex value

Users can choose a vibe for their domain. This is the order they appear in - we just choose whatever's first.

Organic content will be utterly contaminated by the thing it professes to be clean of, and may even be demonstrably worse while still commanding a higher price point.

Just like with food: "organic"-ness will be hard to define, impossible to prove, and weakly certified based on networks of trust.

Just like with food: there will be market value in content that is entirely "organic" i.e. written, drawn, composed, edited, and curated by humans.

I'm just gonna leave this here: "Always design a thing by considering it in its next larger context — a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in an environment, an environment in a city plan." (Eliel Saarinen)
