GPT-5.6 Sol isn't a new pre-trained model, just a further-trained 5.5 openai seems to have gained a lot from post-training, but in terms of size, it's still not a fable-class model because it's much smaller 5.6 Sol is likely around 3t, while mythos/fable is closer to 10t

GPT-6 Leaks - GPT-5.6 is to be the final model in the GPT-5 series. - GPT-6 is now targeting a launch in about a month (possibly even later this month if everything stays on schedule). - GPT-6 is built on a significantly larger pretraining foundation (vs the 4T "Spud" base used for GPT-5.5/5.6) - OpenAI expects this new base to compete much better with Anthropic's Fable/Mythos models.
