France lost 18M private citizen Digital IDs to hackers. They got biometric passports, national ID cards and driver’s licenses. Today the King of England announced a sweeping Digital ID initiative. All this means is that hackers will breach it all and over time, have it all. Age verification has the same problems. Your data is secured by the gov's lowest bidder. The age of privacy is over and there is no way to secure any of this. It's a matter of when, not if.

A woman at the stone yard completely shocked because they’re charging $175 for a small irregular boulder and $229 for a medium one.
She’s walking around zooming in on the price tags going ‘do people actually pay $175 for a fucking rock?’ and ‘it gets better… these ones are $229’ while losing her mind over it.

My restaurant might get shut down by authorities. Reason - not selling Halal food For years, we’ve worked hard to build our restaurant. We are now facing ongoing harassment, nuisances outside the restaurant, and repeated complaints to the local council aimed at shutting us down and threatening to revoke our premises licence. We believe this pressure is connected to our decision not to remove our “Non-Halal” sign. CA's GDP doesn't mean they can't have rampant fraud, siphoning money. The actual issue is whether the feds have a valid basis to defer the funds.

The idea that an elected mayor in the United States was serving as a spy for China and is facing a maximum sentence of only 10 years in prison is nonsensical and hardly a deterrent.

Went to our anniversary dinner at a nice restaurant tonight where we were recorded by our server, apparently through his glasses, without our permission for his Instagram channel. As we paid, he showed us his Instagram channel and showed us the video he took and asked if he could post it. We asked him to delete it and if his manager knew he was recording diners. He just said no one else has ever complained. I asked to talk to the manager. Manager seemed to know and asked “if the light was on.” I assume this meant on the glasses indicating he was recording. We noticed no light. He said he would make him remove the glasses, which was how we became aware he was recording with the glasses. Needless to say, I am now a dog with a bone and this is not over.
