@sheepGeekCP@hargreavesgt Hi mark do you find the biggest benefit is the amount of dries in ewes or for fertility? Keen to try more teasing to hopefully minimise the dries
Sorts ewes into joining groups & removing teaser rams (vasetimised rams). Putting in the A team tomorrow.
Looks like this pair are going to take a while to re-establish their social hierarchy.
Important early morning job this week. All but 2 dams are dry so we are very much reliant on the bores, tanks and troughs this summer. The sheep are only a couple of weeks off shears so the other priority this week is shade.
Barley undersown with a pasture mix. Normally don't use a cover crop, but thought I needed a bit more barley in.
Looks like I'm going to get away with it.
Ive just learnt that because of yesterday’s decision, lack of markets, lack of feed and water that an earthmoving contractor has been booked to dig a hole for wethers to be put in, and same farmer looking at euthanising wether lambs on the cradle. Plans going well @MurrayWatt
The Sheep Shipping Sheila’s have made it back to Kuwait delivering top quality Australian nutritious and delicious protein to the world in the form of happy healthy sheep.
🌱☠️ We’ve seen common heliotrope affect sheep on stubble in recent days. It causes their liver to fail and is irreversible. Check what weeds are growing in your paddock!
@cwrobbo21 No mate. Been happy with it, especially the cart. Are moving to 18m and availability along with a few other wants has us trying something new 😳🤞🏾
Have this set up for sale. 2013 9460R, 2014 Boss superflex 16m bar, 2018 12000lt air cart with small seeds box. Trimble rate control. DM for more details
We are setting up our feedlot for confinement feeding. Our steel supplier has recommended this, which he pressed for another client. Any comments from those that have done it? And best methods for mounting (so sheep stick heads through fence to access it)? 500m to do.
@mdfowler100 We made one with 300mm c Perlins mounted on steel maxi post. @BradenJohno18@MoojepinMerinos have also made theirs much the same. Not much I would change with what we did. Other options might be cheaper though.
@AlexanderIngold@brodenholland Getting a new MacDon soonish, so I can show both. Oilling setup & grease line installation for RTD ……. so you don’t have to fight your way through 1/2 metre of spikey stubble to grease two nipples!
