They keep saying foreign doctors are needed for rural America. So many say this when the posts go out about how foreign Doctors are being fast tracked.... Reality: Only 18–22 percent of IMGs actually practice in rural counties. Most end up in cities and suburbs. Many complain after getting to their first assignment and are transferred wherever they desire... this has been demonstrated. New provisional laws in 18+ states don’t even require rural service. The rural shortage excuse is cover for importing cheaper, more compliant labor everywhere.
