I encourage every person developing apps on a database to read this thread. Why? Because it goes on..and on...and on...and on... and gets more and more complicated with every additional post. And why? Because you chose a pattern that 99% of the time was not required for your level of scale or complexity. Just use a relational database and the task is done. Don't get me wrong. I will be thrilled for you when the day comes that your app hits 50 bazillion transactions per second, and you have to refactor your architecture due to the scaling limits of a single node relational database. But the only thing that is causing you to believe that you need that capability *today* is your ego.

The DB was inactive because I can't access it, because my Tenancy is "inactive". Support refused SR. No answer on forum. I can't even delete my Tenancy. @Oracle : "integration with Kafka" means the *Apache messaging system*, not the Kafkaesque bureaucratic nightmare😒 2/2
