She has the wrong facial features, wrong skin color, and wrong "aura". The Highlander remake is being made with consideration of the audience's expectations and preferences. The Odyssey remake takes that age-old formula for commercial success and tosses it out the window, replacing it with yet another lecture about contemporary social issues disguised as a movie. No movie with that kind of baggage succeeded in the theaters... so why are they doing it now in 2026? It's because they still want to send a "progressive message" even though they know they will lose money. Their market analysts are predicting a 1+ billion dollar box office... which sounds like hopium on steroids. Both of these movies have a heavy core male demographic interest in the original stories, and I predict only one of these will succeed.
