$TSLA The current estimated weekly unsupervised Robotaxi miles is roughly $38,000. If this increases 10% per week, it will reach - After ~13 weeks (end of Q3): ~130k miles/week. - After ~26 weeks (end of 2026): ~450k miles/week.

Elon Musk: Tesla’s Mega Pods Could Transform AI Computing Everywhere We're also building out a mega pod design that has — because, for computers with x86, it's a very x86 computer with the Tesla AI computer. You know, it's got this visual Optimus in a box, a mega pod kind of like the Megapack packaging. So, we put a large number of four-plus x86 combos into a giant box, essentially. And these boxes can be placed anywhere in the country or outside the country. This allows us to scale AI compute using disaggregated electricity production. Again, there are lots of places all around the world, including Superchargers. I think we get something like seven gigawatts of power at our Superchargers. And we can place mega pods at many of these Superchargers and have distributed power for AI. So, I think that could be quite a big deal.

Announcing OpenWorker! An open-source agent that doesn't just chat with you, but delivers finished work -- like hand you a polished document, send a slack message, or update a calendar entry. Ask it to prepare a customer brief, untangle your calendar, draft a report, or triage a Slack alert. It works across your files and everyday tools, produces the deliverable, and checks in before doing anything consequential. OpenWorker runs on your Mac, with Windows support coming soon. It does not lock you into any one model. Bring your own API key and run it with GPT 5.6 Sol, Claude Fable, Gemini 3.6, an open weight model (like Kimi, GLM, DeepSeek, Inkling), or Ollama to keep your data local. Your data does not leave your machine except through an LLM provider and integrations that you choose. @rohitcprasad and I are building OpenWorker because AI coworkers are an important way to get work done, and we want there to be an open, privacy-preserving, model-independent option. Check it out and let us know what you think! Try it out: openworker.com (requires your own API key) Source code: github.com/andrewyng/open…

I never knew Ashok (Tesla’s VP of AI) was such a gangster. I believe his comments were easily one of the biggest highlights of Tesla’s Q2 2026 earnings call today. Instead of making big promises, he backed everything up with facts. 1/ Tesla’s Robotaxi fleet has now driven 380,000+ miles completely unsupervised across six cities in two states with ZERO notable incidents. The only reported incidents were caused by other drivers while Tesla vehicles were stationary. For many years, the doubters said Tesla would never achieve autonomy without LiDAR, radar, HD maps, and every sensor imaginable. Ashok and the Tesla team just showed the world that Tesla’s vision-only AI approach is already working safely in the real world. 2/ Tesla’s unsupervised Robotaxi miles have been growing at double-digits week-over-week, and Ashok said they expect that rapid growth to continue through the rest of the year. Even more crazy was, Tesla expects launching new cities to become easier and easier, with the long-term goal of expanding across entire states instead of adding one city at a time. 3/ V15 is already here… Ashok confirmed that Tesla’s live Robotaxi fleet is already running early versions of V15, with roughly 40% of the planned improvements already merged into the software. He said all of Tesla’s major technology bets are beginning to work, and the payoff should be huge. 4/ Cybercab will run the same V15 AI stack that’s powering Robotaxi today, with production being aligned to match the expected growth in autonomous miles. 5/ Optimus is using the exact same end-to-end AI approach as FSD, where it’s pixels in, controls out. Ashok said that gives him high confidence Optimus will become an extremely capable humanoid robot. To me, Ashok’s update was one of the strongest part of the entire earnings call. I knew Ashok was a great person to lead Tesla AI, but this was the first time I saw this level of confidence in him and the Tesla team. Great call @aelluswamy!

Using FSD is far safer than driving manually, as measured over 12 billion miles of its use. Safer by a margin of 2x the miles between collisions! It can do so, because, FSD is trained on corner cases extracted from more than a 1000 lifetimes of driving. It has learnt to accurately predict the probability of collision even for crazy cases such others running red lights, swerving into us, kids running into roads and such. Do watch the full video for some highlights. A no-brainer way to significantly improve your and your family's safety is to get a Tesla with FSD. It also completely takes the stress out of driving. Not saying this just because I work at Tesla, rather that it's genuinely a great product already and is continuing to get even better.

Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla’s VP of AI, sets the record straight about Tesla’s Robotaxi safety record and AI approach: "I'd like to emphasize how safe the operation has been so far: zero notable incidents over 380,000 miles. Historically, the so-called experts have always claimed that you need LIDARs, radars, HD maps, and the entire kitchen sink to drive safely. Here, we show that such is not true. You can have safe, comfortable, and affordable autonomy with just cameras. This record should be a huge validation of Tesla's entire AI approach." 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Elon on hardware upgrades: "I think it will make sense to upgrade all cars that have less than HW4. Any cars that have cameras basically. I think we want to upgrade them to the next-gen AI board. We have an upgraded AI4 chip around the middle of next year. Then AI5, which hopefully will be in volume production in middle of next year. That will initially go into Optimus. AI6 will be the best edge computing in the world. It's just so good. Things are going really well on the chip end."

Elon on FSD on the @Tesla Semi: "We expect to get self-driving working on the Tesla Semi probably around the end of this year or early next year. I just don't want it to be a distraction on the march of nines of safety for self-driving on the Model 3/Y and Cybercab. It will definitely be working next year."

$TSLA says they now have 380k miles of unsupervised Robotaxi with zero incidents. My quick math is that its about 20% of total Robotaxi miles and about 1% of compared to Waymo. I'm fine with that gap between Waymo given Tesla is making the right call to putting safety first.

Ashok Elluswamy, VP of AI Software from $TSLA says eventually Robotaxi will turn on entire states at a time. The message from the company on Robotaxi is they're doing what they said they would. Keep it safe, learn, and reading between the lines, they think they can eventually drop a bomb on Waymo.
