Just a reminder, 2FA needs enabled on your ALL accounts but especially your Activision account. Lately I've received a massive amount of DM's from people who have logged in to find out their CoD accts have been banned while swearing they have never cheated. One of the things that is harder from Wz1 to currently is that cheaters are finding it harder and harder to make new accounts that last more than a few games... one of the ways around this is they are buying "aged accounts" which are essentially stolen, sometimes inactive accounts w/a significant amount of playtime on them, thus leading to longer playtime before they get shadow-banned/permanently banned. Usually the guarantee on these accounts from the seller is only for 24 hrs from the time of purchase. These cheaters do not care as they will most likely get the account banned before the 24 hr mark hits. You then sign on to your non-2fa acct to find out you are banned... the worst part, you're not getting that account back unless you know someone or stream to thousands. Within the last few days I've had a ton of people, mostly casual not competitive players, reach out after they logged into their Call of Duty accounts only to see that they are permanently banned. The sad news I've to share with you is it is un fortunately not Activision's responsibility to protect your account. They give you the tools, you need to use them. Many people including most Activision support cases end with the assumption you got banned you were cheating. This isn't always the case. Fraud and scams that log you credentials across many and sometimes all the platforms your PC has logged into, are more prevalent today then ever before! Recently I almost got it myself when using ChatGpt and was hit with an attempted Click Fix Scam... no worries I have 2fa on all accounts but do you? Don't be an idiot enable the security features so at a minimum I stop waking up to 50 messages asking for help getting your account back... I can't help you🤷‍♂️
