None of you guys were ready for @PlayHighguard and it's sad. The game's learning curve for introducing Mount play into FPS/ looting/ controlling POI's/ rotations/ base raiding with team play and strategy was just too much for the casual player. Highguard was never a bad game and I'm not saying it's the greatest; it was just too hard for people to understand. Hard games just cannot survive in this slop market and we'll never have a new competitive FPS that features new mechanics into the genre for many more years to come.

All of these released/are in some form of early access to critical acclaim due to their art direction, soundscape, game mechanics, immersive nature, or expanding upon what people had come to expect from a particular genre with something fresh and interesting.
Highguard’s game mode does NOTHING new. It doesn’t expand upon anything and launched with an incredibly buggy, bloated, and poor-performing client.
The core game mode was a stitched-together flesh golem of parts of other games in some arbitrary and wayward attempt at making the “buzz-word” mechanics from different genres jive all the while making it look like “if overwatch had custom maps like dota2”.
I’m glad that you enjoy the game. You are very clearly in the minority.

@Onepeg It's been 3 weeks dude, name one game in the past 5 years that has had a flawless release. Not a single one dude, there's always issues. In Highguard's case, there is one main appeal: the game mode itself. So if there are issues they seem greater because there's less content

Extraction shooters would be more intense and immersive
if they didn’t have an insurance mechanic like “safe pocket”
But I get why it exists and don’t have a problem with that.
It somewhat mitigates the frustration of failure, helping to keep the player’s mood high enough to keep playing.
