Let me get this straight. A close personal friend of the president allegedly contacted a senior ICE official to have the mother of his child detained and deported during a private custody battle.  She was ultimately detained and deported.  The Department of Homeland Security denies the two events are connected. You can decide what you believe. But here is what is not in dispute. A man with direct access to the White House called a senior immigration official about his ex-girlfriend at the exact moment it would benefit him in a custody dispute. That official then called ICE’s Miami field office to make sure she was picked up before she was released from jail, emphasizing that the case mattered to someone close to the White House. This is the real face of the immigration crackdown. Not dangerous criminals. Not threats to public safety. A mother caught in a custody dispute, deported because her ex knows Trump. people.com/paolo-zampolli…

Over the years, @PeteButtigieg has had many viral media moments, but I think this might be his best. It's the most authentically angry and impassioned that I have seen him, and that's what voters who are banging their heads against a wall about the state of affairs want to see.

Joe Kernen comes close to having a coronary on air as Pete Buttigieg dogwalks him all over the Squawk Box studio about Trump's economic mismanagement and inflation

Absolute bombshell on CNN. The Justice Department is desperately trying to protect fired AG Pam Bondi from testifying about the Epstein files. They claim her subpoena is invalid because she was fired. The Trump administration coverup is completely unraveling in real time.

BREAKING: In a stunning moment, Republican leadership just chose to close down the House of Representatives today so their caucus could avoid voting on the Iran War Powers resolution. What a joke.

@cityofsaskatoon 🙄LOVE IT when buses leave for their routes early relative to their schedule from a major hub (like Place Ariel - 17 southbound). When the buses are that far apart, leaving even slightly early isn’t fair to commuters who count on it as a public service.

Deeply reported story by @maggieNYT and @jonathanvswan about an extraordinary pitch/presentation Netanyahu made to convince Trump to go to war with Iran, including catastrophically wrong Israeli assumptions about how easy it would be to win.

Just a reminder that America would never tolerate such attacks on our own civilian infrastructure and would rightly refer to such illegal attacks as terrorism. We are behaving like a rogue state, and elected Republicans are proud of it.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

CNN: Do you support targeting critical civilian infrastructure like power plants? REP. KUSTOFF: Could that infrastructure have a dual use? Could it be used by the military? If the answer is yes, which I think they are, then they're within the purview of US attacks

The man who was Trump's personal defense attorney in the hush money trial is now the acting Attorney General of the United States. He went on Fox within hours of his appointment and said the DOJ has released "all" the Epstein files. His statement got a community note in real time. The DOJ identified over 6 million pages. It released roughly 3.5 million. Rep. Thomas Massie - Republican, co-author of the Epstein Files Transparency Act - posted within hours: "Congratulations AG Blanche. Now you have 30 days to release the rest of the files before becoming criminally liable for failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act." That's the Republican who wrote the law telling the acting Attorney General he's looking at criminal liability. Meanwhile the documented record of what actually happened with the files: victim names and nude images released without adequate redaction. Powerful men's identities largely shielded. Bondi refused to stand and face the survivors in the room at the House Judiciary Committee hearing. Ghislaine Maxwell transferred to a minimum-security prison camp. Blanche conducted that Maxwell interview personally. His message on day one: time to move on. The survivors aren't moving on. Massie isn't moving on. The math on what's been withheld isn't moving on.
