It appears Rhys ab Owen, current independent MS and formerly Plaid Cymru, is putting out literature in the Cardiff Penarth constituency. Will he be standing in May? Could shave one or two percent off Plaid in a key target seat.

@Hillofwad @LloydCymru It does, but all of the polling agents are setup to deal with FPTP and tactical voting however. It would be a major achievement to get 4 for example, but almost certainly won't happen as that would require getting 75% of the vote which is unheard of.

@ynnmtn @LloydCymru Well it ceratinly looks that t way The bookies have Plaid at 1/3 short price favs to get most seats With Reform drifted out to 9/4 The rest just make up the numbers but both Greens & Labour could be kingmakers Plaid may get 4 out of 6 seats in a couple Every vote counts

@Hillofwad @LloydCymru It's just what they do - They're falsely claiming that this is a fight between them and Reform and only they can defeat Reform as a basis for their Senedd election campaign. This is untrue, obviously, as now it's a PR system people can vote for who they want.

@ynnmtn @LloydCymru Well with under 40 votes beween Reform & Tory perhaps they might have upset the applecart Staggering to think in MH that Plaid wouldn't enjoy some support

@TS92Avfc @BritainVotesNow You're witnessing a major split in the Green Party here. Liverpool, City Centre Ward - Taken in by the left wing stuff spouted by Polanski. The others, both rural, socially liberal, supports Greens for the Green stuff, not the left-wing stuff.

@PDRNHPUK @ElectionMapsUK Let's be rational and not make things up. I've just been through the last 30 years of elections in Murton, the Tory vote has never gone over 15% here. Not to mention they've just won a by-election in Sevenoaks.. 'sOoN bE gOnE'

@EmilyThornberry @Woman4W “Where is the organised opposition in Iran?” In 35,000 body bags, Emily. You’re so supposed to know this, you’re the fucking Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee. What a totally unserious dumbass.

Iran, specifically Iranian women, have been crying out for solidarity, for a push to get rid of the regime that's had a hijab-covered boot on their neck for 47 years. Iran: The time is now.🫡 US: The time is now.🫡 UK: But... but... the CONSEQUENCES! 😭
Emily Thornberry@EmilyThornberry

I am pleased to see the UK is not involved in these strikes on Iran. They are ill-advised and illegal. We will be hit by the consequences though & need to prepare for chaos in the region, with shipping lanes, oil facilities & military bases (including our own) being attacked.

Based on recent reports from Reuters and others, the US State Department is developing freedom.gov to help users in Europe access banned content via US-routed traffic, targeting laws like the UK's Online Safety Act. It's not launched yet (site is registered but empty). Undersecretary Sarah Rogers has said "nothing is off the table" against such restrictions.

This was great. A former Prime Minister and current Deputy PM from opposite parties agreeing widely on the UK’s AI approach and strategy has impact in countries where this level of nonpartisanship wouldn’t happen. Also, Sunak is delightfully diffusion-pilled, and AISI supportive (all the best folk are)

@williamkane9 @JAHeale It isn't - I don't think the Police have ever taken action over a lack of imprint. However, if the results are close, parties can petition the results then it's up to the courts to decide!
