DLF was part of the people that caused Gavi’s injury and so he had to take him. Spain had qualified for the Euros, he kept Gavi on against Georgia but rested everyone who had played the first game, there was no reason Gavi should have remained in that game (same mistake with Pedri that also led to his ACL). Gavi was also Spain’s best player in those qualifier games, but ended up missing it. DLF also invited Gavi to the camp for the Euros winning despite being injured, because he knew how much Gavi contributed. This is a well deserved call up, Quick trivia: Argentina have a player in similar situation, but the player will be called for this World Cup, what’s the name of the player?
