@yoryendor

Sharing the truth about Mormonism. From Speaking the Truth in Love, to debating the inaccuracies and the deception. Maybe sometimes having a little fun.

@acewizardnz No, because so many other subjects make it not of God. Polygamy and Joseph Smith marrying young girls and other men’s wives. The Book of Abraham Blacks being denied the priesthood and in turn an all temple “blessings” meaning no entrance to the Celestial Kingdom. So much more..

I got this from Google. The temperance movement was a 19th and early 20th-century social reform effort, primarily in the US and UK, aimed at reducing or banning alcoholic beverages to curb social ills like poverty, domestic violence, and workplace inefficiency. The temperance movement was exceptionally large and influential in New England, which served as a primary hub for the entire national crusade during the 19th century. The region’s deep Puritan roots and evangelical revivalism fostered a strong moralistic approach to alcohol, leading to the creation of the country's most significant early temperance organizations. The Word of Wisdom (WoW) question in a temple recommend interview asks: "Do you understand and obey the Word of Wisdom?". It is interpreted by Church leaders as abstaining from alcohol, tobacco, tea, coffee, and harmful substances, serving as a requirement for worthiness to enter the temple. This is not biblical. You cannot save yourself. Jesus is enough. No amount of work, building, or rituals can save you. Only Jesus Christ can save us! Ephesians 2:8-9 [8] For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— [9] not by works, so that no one can boast.
