@HoopsAnalyst Iverson wasn't efficient and his team wasn't good, but I really can't argue anyone else deserved it more at the time.

Regarding close ROY votes, in 96-97 Iverson won a close vote where 5 players got votes (you could only pick 1 ROY to vote for back then). AI clearly had the best career but did someone else deserve it strictly based on rookie stats?

@JLewis562 The hope was that Steph would come back and maybe the Warriors could make a playoff run, but at this point I guess they decided their chances are so small it's just best not to do anything too risky.
