マラプラムカティ：インドの短剣の一種。古代にケララ州のマラプラムの鍛冶屋が開発。全長45〜65cm。肉厚だが非常に鋭い刃を持つ。この短剣による傷は治りにくく、感染症が起こりやすいとされるが、それはこの地方の選ばれた鍛冶屋のみが持つ秘伝の製法によるもの、という伝説がある。
