AUSSOM troops and Somali National Armed Forces (@SNAForce) in Sector 1 today neutralised insurgent hideouts in Buulo Abdala and Madulo, Lower Shabelle, in a targeted operation. Coordinated ground and air support struck militant positions, eliminated several insurgents and recovered weapons and equipment, weakening their operational capacity. AUSSOM Sector 1 Commander Brig. Gen. Jackson Kayanja commended communities in Mubarak, Marere and Darusalam for their support while local leader Shuaib Osman from Awadhglee praised the cooperation. The operation, led by Col. Owinyi Akena, underscores the effectiveness of integrated operations in countering insurgent threats. #AUSSOMInTheSectors
