@itsmejono@KimKatieUSA Okay, let's remake "Malcolm X" with Henry Cavill as Malcom. Then let's remake "Elizabeth" with Jason Statham as Queen Elizabeth. They're just movies and works of fiction, right libtard?
@f310_5@turningpointjpn When people purposefully put an odd appearance on display, seeking attention with ridiculous behavior and dress, it absolutely deserves ridicule and mockery.
@fandompulse Alternate timeline, dream sequence, or simply de-canonize and dis-own the sequels as if they never happened (like they did with all the EU)....I don't really care what Disney does, just as long as they flush all of those turds and start fresh.
This would be awesome if true, but I highly doubt it because Disney has already invested in Galaxy’s Edge in both Disneyland in California and in Disney World in Florida which is set in the Sequel Trilogy, so although it may be possible, it seems highly unlikely.
If this turns out to be true, they still need to keep Kylo Ren, he’s the only Character in the Sequel Trilogy worth saving.
RUMOR: Disney to Remove Star Wars Sequel Trilogy From Timeline to Resume Focus on Original Characters
"If true, this would be one of the most dramatic franchise shifts in modern Hollywood history."
@jipsesol67@thehealthb0t I was a professional Firefighter and medic for 30 years. Shingles is a dangerous un-acknowledged exposure for us. I want every firefighter/EMT to take extra precautions. Double glove, thorough hand washing, and disinfect EVERYTHING after making an active shingles patient call.
RFK JR - Many don’t realize, the Chickenpox Vaccine Causes shingles Epidemics
“When the CDC was thinking about mandating the chickenpox vaccine for your children, they did a study.
The person they hired to do that study was a scientist named Gary Goldman, who did a long-term study in California.
What he found is that if you give the chickenpox vaccine, mass vaccinate, it stops chickenpox, but causes shingle epidemics later on; which is 20x deadlier.
Despite those studies, we mandated for American children in this country, but in Europe they don’t.
If you go to the British National Health Service website right now, you can read that it will say, “We do not recommend chickenpox vaccines because it causes shingles epidemics later on… and that’s the problem.
(Check the link here: nhs.uk/vaccinations/c…)
You can’t say this product is going to prevent this particular disease, but you have to look at the long-term implications.”
@jipsesol67@thehealthb0t I did not have chickenpox or get the vaccine...but I did get shingles, in a very bad way. It almost killed me, and I have permanent nerve and hearing damages from it. Shingles is highly contagious when a person has active blisters...I was exposed working as a first responder.
@Betricia16@RedWavePress No they aren't wrong, it's completely lawful for cyclists to ride abreast and maintain a lane. Passing a bike is no different than passing any other road vehicle (which is what they are). Bikes moving to the right to allow other vehicles to pass is a courtesty only.
A 72-year-old driver allegedly stalked a group of Georgia cyclists for two minutes while blaring his horn, then slammed into one from behind — fracturing the rider’s spine, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
The suspect, Jerry Wayne Ross, was seen smiling in his mugshot and now faces six charges, including hit-and-run, aggressive driving, and failing to maintain a safe distance from a bicycle.
@JenCommon@RedWavePress Cyclists should obey traffic laws, but they don't have to cede right of way, they are a road vehicle. Cyclist may ride 2 abreast and maintain a lane, it's safe and the law. Passing cyclists must be treated the same as passing any other vehicle, only when it's safe to do so.
Unpopular opinion but street cyclists are out of control. They literally take up entire lanes, don't allow anyone to pass, and then they don't follow the traffic laws, which they're supposed to. Streets were created for cars, not for bicycles. They need to ride single file on streets like this, stop at stop signs and stop lights, and give cars the right-of-way, but they don't.
@JenCommon@RedWavePress or ride on an empty sidewalk that is RIGHT next to them. drives me nuts to see them riding in a little sliver of Road pavement with a sidewalk nearby
Only about 21% of players have completed Chapter 7 in Crimson Desert despite the huge success of the game.
This is the halfway point of the main story, unlocking by the Protector of Pailune achievement.
>This leaves nearly 79% still exploring.
>Full main story completion sits at just around 3%.
The game still has around 75,000–90,000 concurrent players on Steam with Very Positive reviews.
Most of players have 100–300+ hours only in exploration and side activities skipping the main story
This guy would probably blow his brains out if he ever had to drive from El Paso to Houston. I don’t think he understands how big this country is and that there’s hundreds (arguably thousands) of different cultural regions within the United States alone.
@TJKashin@cecegkh Yes, now imaging if that was the expectation EVERYWHERE, like in Japan. The flip side to that, of course, is the company needs to treat their employees well. Decent salary, good work environment, and management that has the same high standards of behavior towards employees.
@younggun142@cecegkh Every Chick-fil-A I have been to is immaculate and the staff are polite and eager to serve the customer. Like you said, that's top down leadership and culture. They are also always busy inside and drive through from open to close, meanwhile the others are ghost towns.
San Francisco restaurant removes tipping from checks. The owner understands that people are tired of the tipping culture, so he doesn’t allow tipping, taxes or service fees in his establishment and instead pays his employees $40 per hour
Now, here’s the catch: every meal will cost $140 per person. The price is all inclusive and nothing will be added to that price.
I know when we go to a nice restaurant, it can easily cost $140+ per person and then add tip, taxes, and service fee as well.
Do you think this is a better deal or a word game with tips, taxes and service fees? What are your thoughts on this?
@yoyofakowee@cecegkh The national standard has not been 15% for 100 years. That didn't start until the 60's and 70's. 10% used to be the norm for good service. Now people want a 15-20 tip for standing in front of a register or pushing a button on a coffee machine.
@TJKashin@cecegkh In Japan, it is literally an insult to offer someone a tip. The reason this works is simple...culture. Ever been to Chik-fil-a? Notice how polite and helpful their employees are, even though they're young and not getting tipped?
That's a top-down corporate cultural expectation.
@AldamsScott@harukaawake Yeah, that looks sooooo amazing:
An aerial view of the Kibera slums, Nairobi, Kenya. Kibera in Nairobi is one of the largest slums in Africa, and home to close to one million people.
🇯🇵 Recently, I see lots of anti-Japanese posts from Africans.
This is Japan in the 1960s... only 20 years after World War II was over. We built this. You were never hit with any nuclear weapons and yet you built nothing. Why?
@BraveNewWorld_1@harukaawake Case after case of westerners going to Africa to build infrastructure, give machinery, teach farming and ranching, dig wells, etc.. only to have it all stripped and destroyed in less than a year once the westerner's leave. Africans create their own problems.
Because the western governments preferred to allow corrupt governments. They together with western governments preferred to suck up very last drop of wealth from their countries and give it to themselves. Have you ever asked why our governments give unauditable $Bs in “aid” to these regimes most of which ends up in a bank in Switzerland. Why don’t they give them goods and services? Tractors, fertilisers, earth moving equipment, specialised technical resources. ? Why because they want the status quo to continue if Africa.
@Shifty681669@jayveeonYT It's a very involved game. I just started playing it a week ago. There's is a lot to do and discover, or you can play through the quests and challenges doing constant battle if that's your thing. Tight fight scenes just don't lend themselves to grandiose exposition videos though.
@jayveeonYT Every post on X about this game is a walk though some land while doing nothing. We get it, it's a pretty game. No one is ever showing off anything fun, just pretty.
