@DuaneStorey Matt's version of "open source" apparently isn't free and open like the rest of the world The cost of using WordPress, in his view, is 8%.

This is the second time Matt has unblocked me long enough to snipe a reply, and then block again. I can’t respond to these as it won’t let me. But he basically accused me of living in a bubble for asking an honest question. I’ve had enough though, so he’s earned a block too now. Nulling and taking over plugins with two million users isn’t my idea of helping humanity though.

@danwalmsley @Professor None of that has anything to do with what I said. It's my opinion that Wordpress.com confuses people. Users think they're using the open source platform when they're not.

I just cancelled my Adobe licence after many years as a customer. The new terms give Adobe "worldwide royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, distribute" or do whatever they want with any content I produce using their software. This is beyond insane. No creator in their right mind can accept this . You pay a huge monthly subscription and they want to own your content and your entire business as well. Going to have to learn some new tools.
