@JamesClear Life is unfair and it's a good thing because it means you don't deserve all the bad things that happen to you.

Since we know the Todoist community is always hungry for knowledge, and thus, very well-read, we gotta ask: 📚What are your top recommended reads on productivity, time management, or, well, living a fulfilling life? We're checking out Happier Hour by Cassie Holmes— good stuff!

Discipline = Freedom You won't feel motivated, all the time, but when motivation fails, discipline prevails. You will be tempted to give in to your emotions, but you must make hard choices despite your feelings. Get comfortable being uncomfortable and you will win.

“How long it takes?” is the wrong question, “how many repetitions it takes?” is the right one (a quote from Atomic Habits).

For example: Never losing your keys, wallet, badge, or other such items because you have a system to keep them in the right place, brushing before bed, making your bed each morning, etc.

SRE is already an amazing role but it is even more rewarding when you are someone who is orderly, someone who likes to have systems and automation in everything you do.

1. Don’t speak ill of others. 2. Avoid passive aggressive behavior. 3. Listen broadly, but don’t waffle on decisions. 4. When in error — admit, apologize, move forward.

I've had the pleasure of meeting @johnmaeda a few times in my life, and I've learned a lot in each of those short meetings. The one thing I revisit every few months are his 4 creative leadership principles –

The image above is taken from @todoist's website, and I highly recommend using this simple but elegant to-do app, especially for it's natural language feature (e.g. you can schedule tasks by writing something like “every other Tuesday starting March 3”).

I use @todoist to categorise my tasks as 1) urgent & important, 2) not-urgent & important, 3) urgent and not-important, 4) not-urgent & not-important.

If you have difficulty prioritising your tasks, make use of the Eisenhower Matrix. It's a task management tool that helps you organise and prioritise tasks by urgency and importance.
