At one point, Whittingham also needs to realize his legacy at Utah is on the line.
You can easily say players like Cam Rising & others are the reason Whittingham has 2 outright Pac-12 championships, not Whittingham.

Knowing everything I know, I don’t think Kyle Whittingham is going to win this dispute. I actually highly respect Utah for even giving him that $8 million. Could Utah have handled the split better? Sure. But it goes for both sides. (1/2)

TLDR on Utah/Whitt Utah is butthurt that Kyle Whittingham brought Jason Beck and his offensive staff with him to Michigan. This was after ceding that Whittingham could remain coach for one more year (in name only) while Morgan Scalley was actually the head coach behind the scenes. Absurd stuff from the Utes.

Great article by Steve that says what I’ve been saying since December.
1. Whitt did not want to retire. Wanted to keep coaching Utah, and not a consulting job that Utah fans claim he wanted.
2. He was forced out.
3. Only way he could come back is if he was Co-HC and Scalley had final say in everything.
What I didn’t know is that Utah was paying his salary for Michigan 😂

Since there are a lot of uniformed people talking college hoops tonight:
1. BYU did not pay AJ Dybantsa $7 million
2. They had 6 season-ending injuries, including an All-Big 12 guy
3. When somewhat healthy they were 16-1
4. Yes, AJ was "worth it" for BYU despite win/loss record

BYU paid $7 million to AJ Dybantsa. He led the nation in scoring. Cool. They finished 10th in the Big 12 and were a 6-seed in the NCAA Tournament after losing a key guard to injury. They lost to an 11-seed Texas team that finished 10th in the SEC. Is that NIL $ well spent?
