Happy to share that I returned to my first Melee tourney in probably like half a year and managed to win my local monthly! Was a super close call, have more rust to shake off (trying to nair OOS and getting shieldgrab instead is like the worst feeling EVER) but happy to clutch it

@ScottJund @COFFINSLIME You are drawing an arbitrary line on when you find it acceptable for people to DC. 90% of your gameplay-related tweets I see are complaining about survivors giving up on first hit/hook. What if their reasoning is because they are resigned to defeat? Is that acceptable?

@COFFINSLIME to offer a discussion point: what is the difference between escaping via the exit gate and escaping via the killer abandoning at the end of the game? are the 15 seconds spent opening the gate such an incredibly vital part of of DBD you cannot live with out? i dont get it.

all the replies to this are proving the exact reason why this would be such a bad idea btw if a big ‘abandon’ button pops up the second the gens are done, as a survivor good luck ever experiencing leaving via the exit gates again because players are just gonna rage quit for free

@DragonifyDev If those are the moves that are STARTING combos, 99% of the time it is because they are used defensively (out of shield, roll, spotdodge, wakeup, etc.) But thanks for backing me up with that point!

Say you’ve never played Melee at a high level without saying it LMAO Melee is a great, fast-paced game AND highly defensive. People’s tiny brains can’t keep up so they assume it’s a hold-forward, button masher extravaganza lol this tweet is actually so funny

Melee players hear that a game is defensive and assume that ive admitted that its also shallow and has a low skill ceiling. Its like their brains cant comprehend a game where they dont get to hold forward all the time without being punished.

As someone who doesn’t play DBD anymore in large because a) the game is SO killer favored that it takes away all interactivity in the game, and b) the killer community plays the victim role at all times, I felt the need to dig this up. Just under 8,000 hours played btw
