In a 1893 speech about lynching in the US, Ida B. Wells said, “Those who commit the murders write the reports.” Fast forward— 18 people have died in jail in #STLCity since 2020. Why has there been so much secrecy and opaqueness? Are those responsible still writing the reports?

In the wake of another person dying in custody in St. Louis City's jail, reporters have asked us how many people have died since 2020? Recent @ksdknews reporting states: 14 people ksdk.com/article/news/l… However, in December 2023, they also reported 14 deaths since 2020.
