New EV owner. Panic mode after last night's incident, just over a month into ownership TN delta region still lacks adequate EV charging. I 100% trusted BPCL edrive charger shown as recently used in Statiq app, reached with just 23% SoC left. Range 93kms #PunchEv @Gs_Wanderer

This might ruffle some feathers, but we need to have a real conversation about Tamil Nadu politics if we want to see a healthy democracy thrive for the future of the State. Looking back over the last thirty years, the absolute peak of the DMK Government was undoubtedly from 1996 to 2001. It was arguably the most progressive administration the State has seen, responsible for driving the vast majority of almost all development projects. While things started sliding between 2006 and 2011 for various reasons, it was after 2011 that the political landscape fundamentally shifted. That is when the concept of the "Party Fund" stopped being a mere side issue and turned into a finely oiled, completely institutionalized machine. Every government department was integrated into it, and the entire State knew it. Every contractor, institution, officer, and desk became a gear in that machine, meaning that everyday procedures directly affecting common citizens like land registration, building approvals, or vehicle registration, required a payout just to get a signature moving. All IAS officers were part of this machine and they stuck to the published RATE CARD for the work they were already paid to do. To understand how deeply entrenched this became, think of it like an everyday highway toll booth. Historically, you paid a toll to build and maintain a specific road, but once you passed it, you drove freely. Under this systemized structure, it is as if toll booths were suddenly placed at the end of your own driveway, outside your local grocery store, and at every single intersection. You aren't paying a fee for a special project anymore; you are paying a mandatory tax just to move a few feet on a road you already own. This is a massive departure from how things used to be. Historically, leaders like Anna, Kamaraj, MGR, and Kalaignar took party funds through open, public disclosures, and that money was strictly utilized for the party organization, its cadres, or public welfare. Everything changed after 2011 when it became an automated, everyday administrative reality. To be fair, MK Stalin took office with the best intentions and worked incredibly hard, but the party fund system didn’t disappear, and nothing was done to dismantle it. Because it was already so deeply institutionalized, every individual embedded in that cycle had already become a direct beneficiary of the system, making it nearly impossible to unwind. Now, all eyes are on TVK to see if they will follow this same path. So far, there haven't been any such instances, at least I haven’t heard of any mostly because if they stumble early on, the party will be finished before it even starts. While it is still far too early to make a definitive call on what they will do, let’s at least be honest with ourselves and not sit here pretending this deeply entrenched system of PARTY FUNDS didn't exist in the first place. Regardless of whose supporter you are, you know the truth deep down. Simply acknowledge it for the sake of your children, your grandchildren, and the future of Tamil Nadu, rather than pretending it is all just a lie and a figment of an imagination.

I have no issue with EVs. The real problem is the infrastructure. I recently saw a couple sitting on the footpath of a petrol pump on a national highway in 44°C heat, waiting for their EV to charge. Situations like that aren’t the owner’s fault it’s the lack of proper charging infrastructure that deserves the blame! ☺️

She is Aishwarya Paliwal, India Today Reporter. On her weekly show, She claimed that the BJP could win as many as 320–330 seats in UP, attributing this to the internal infighting within the Samajvadi Party. At a time when every analyst suggests that a BJP victory in UP is unlikely, she is predicting such a massive majority for the party. I want to understand the logic behind this, Past records don't support this view, The BJP lost the Lok Sabha Elections badly in UP, The Samajwadi Party's PDA alliance remains intact and the partnership with the Congress is likely to draw Dalit and Muslim votes toward this coalition. Moreover, factionalism is actually more rampant within the BJP than in the SP, something that cost the BJP dearly in the Lok Sabha Elections. Both the Deputy CMs do not get along with the CM at all and each leads their own separate faction. Despite all this, it is unclear why Aishwarya believes the BJP is poised to secure such a huge Majority. Either she is behaving like Godi Journalist or she possesses some inside information, given that she also covers the Election Commission. Why did you shoot an arrow in the air Ma’am @AishPaliwal ? 🤣

Do you remember the movie Madrasapattinam, which depicts Madras before India achieved independence? It’s no exaggeration to say that Chennai’s rivers and waterways were once so clean that boating was common, and the city was rightly called the ‘Venice of the East.’ With the right effort, we can get back there within the next 5 years.

Bill Maher and Ro Khanna clash over Zohran Mamdani. Khanna leaned on the Knicks to make his point. Maher leaned on October 7th. MAHER: “So you think Mamdani is a great one, huh?” KHANNA: “I do. I mean, did you see his Knicks speech?” MAHER: “Not the issue that most concerned me.” KHANNA: “It’s worth a watch. Because the speech was not just about the Knicks. First of all, he like recites every Knicks player.” MAHER: “Who gives a sh*t about the Knicks?! He’s the mayor of New York!” KHANNA: “Well, yeah, but he talks about how it’s actually bringing people together. Trump voters, Mamdani voters, how it’s overcoming the odds. And he took a speech that was just about celebrating the championship, and he made something bigger about it.” MAHER: “Well, it doesn’t make me forget that his wife loved the October 7th attack on Israel and that he pals around with terrorists.”
