Obviously, I know a few things about Chelsea’s plan this summer and it fills by with confidence. Of course, it's always difficult to explain and there is the issue of trust. But this move to bring Alonso and make him a manager not head coach, I didn't see the manager tag coming. But it has actually given me more confidence that the owners are beginning to understand football administration a lot better and how it works. It's going to be an exciting summer and season ahead. I can't wait.

It’s just a shame that some of these players have effectively let Alonso down, if you could beat a rotated Newcastle and Nottingham Forest at home we’d be in the driving seat for Europa League, maybe even UCL. We were in control of our own destiny for months.

I don't know about you but I believe that Xabi Alonso is the best signing BlueCo has made. He will change this club for good, but we need to back him, believe in him and support him in good and bad moments.

The thing about agenda is that once it eats deep into you, nothing ever makes sense except it fits the agenda. All those guys saying, "oh, Alonso will never join Chelsea and BlueCo will never give a coach power" have suddenly gone quiet, like they are angry it's happening.
