Late term abortion is basically just killing the baby via injection and inducing labor, sometimes over multiple days. Any other provider outside of abortion would have their license ripped up in front of them for an unmonitored misoprostol induction in a hotel room. Early delivery via c-section or induction is faster for any emergency that could possibly come up. Even when disability or gestational age is expected to result in the infant’s death. So no, there’s no possible reason medically for late term. That’s from someone who’s studied childbirth in depth over many years.
