English

Seriously? People’s homes and vehicles are on fire, people are dying, countless wrecks and crashes, 100k+ still without power 5 days in & @ABC is out shutting down roads in Nashville to film their stupid @911nashville show that no one watches. Did @freddieoconnell approve this? Hope this isn't real.

To our members—We want to be sure you know how grateful the entire team at Middle Tennessee Electric has been for your patience, kindness and understanding during this ice storm restoration process.❤️
We know this has been a challenging time for you and your families, and you've still shown us grace and a tremendous amount of support. Our crews have appreciated your cheers, waves and displays of thanks as they worked long hours in difficult conditions.
As ice continues to linger and melt today, it has created new outages, but our crews are continuing to respond to them as they occur.
Thank you again, MTE members—Your encouragement has meant more to us than you know.
(And thanks to one of our very own linemen for this beautiful photo!)

@GovBillLee @myTDOT @TennesseeEMA That’s real nice. @NESpower still has 80k plus METERS (not people) without power in Nashville . How many deaths do we need to see before we take this seriously? Two dozen, Two Hundred, Two Thousand??? This needs fixed TOMORROW

As power restoration efforts continue, NES teams continue to make progress, restoring power to 145,200 customers. We know this prolonged power outage is a severe hardship, and crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to reach every last customer. NES and contracted lineworkers will continue operations in rotations, and they will remain on extended 14–hour to 16‑hour shifts to ensure we can continue responding quickly to help our customers.
Right now:
· We have about 84,800 customers currently without power
· There were 444 broken poles across our service area
· We have fixed 107 of those broken poles
NES has deployed 1,004 lineworkers to continue restoration efforts and help our customers. By tonight NES will have 1,084 linewokers in the field, including those from from Florida, Maryland, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Mississippi, Indiana and Tennessee.

Jeff Hafley today after Micah Parsons' ACL tear: "I told them you can’t let circumstances dictate behavior. A week ago, we’re in here after we beat the Bears and we’re all walking in here all upbeat and ready to roll. I said, ‘Shame on you if you walk in here any different today.’ That’s not who we are. That’s our job as leaders and coaches, to make sure that we don’t do that. We’ve got really good players. We’ve played good defense and we’re going to continue to play good defense. Our guys understand that and I think it’s important for everyone to understand that these guys have a lot of pride and they’re going to get even closer because of this. And they’re going to play well. Our best players are going to step up. And the guys who haven’t played a lot, that’s been our job all year, is to develop those guys. So in situations like this, they’re going to step up and we’re going to play hard and we’re going to coach hard and we’re going to do everything we can to win. That’s my take on all this. This is press on full speed ahead and we’re ready to go.”
