@BigMaxy1612 @Ben_Davison1 I moved to Australia in 2005. It is far better than it was then overall, and hopefully letting some steam out of the housing market will start to mitigate the most glaring issue I’ve seen go completely unaddressed in my time here.
English

@Ben_Davison1 So its better than elsewhere, doesn't mean it is not on a massive slide.Tell me it's as good as it was 20 years ago.You can't and be honest about it.
English

@MrDanielBuck Yes that has literally always been the point.

There's a new guy at work and he's been here maybe two weeks and we're in a meeting and my boss is talking about quarterly goals or whatever and she goes "we really need to circle back to customer retention" and this guy raises his hand and goes "I have a question" and my boss is like yes and he goes "why do you always say circle back?" and the whole room goes quiet and my boss is like what and he goes "you say it like every meeting is there a reason we're going in circles why don't we just go forward" and someone coughs and he's still going "like I've been keeping track you've said it eighteen times in two weeks" and my boss just stares at him and goes "have you never worked in an office before" and he goes "I have but nobody said circle back this much it feels aggressive" and I swear my boss aged five years and she goes "it's just a phrase" and he goes "okay but like why circles" and she just moved on with the meeting. He got let go during his probation period today and I heard him ask HR if it was because of the circle thing.

@jakesgoodopines You are not locked in. You just go back out whenever you want to.

Extremely hot take but I had two long layovers in the Singapore airport & I actually fucking hated it bc they did that stupid shit where you go through security right by your gate and then are literally locked in there with no food or drink options but don’t clearly tell you that
Avery Chauhan@averyx99
There are only 5 airports in the world you'd hope to get delayed in. Most airports are somewhere you wait to leave. These five make 6 hours feel like not enough. Here they are, ranked worst-to-best: #1 Singapore Changi (SIN)

@noplaceforsheep @DianeDromgold On that basis there’s no point in a preferred PM poll at all, the Liberal Party can’t form government with the number of seats they have either. (Hanson is a clown of a human, but your rationale isn’t consistent.)
English

@DianeDromgold ON has 6 seats. It cannot form government. Nothing to do with the constitution

@Wastertorp @thmsenglsh Who is against food delivery? The proposal is that if there is value in it (which I think there is) then the people doing it should be paid accordingly and consumers should be willing to pay.
English

@zanderlicious @thmsenglsh It makes the consumer a more productive member of society as it always him/her to become more specialised in productive efforts.
It's good for the delivery driver because it's a way out of abject poverty.
Being against food delivery is either racist or naive.
English

This is good for like a million reasons: makes food delivery less attractive to consumers, probably stops the insane number of ebikes running red lights, and for the ones who manage to stay employed, they get better compensated for a dangerous job

You could literally land a plane by yourself after your instructor jumps to his death mid flight and they’d still use a picture of a man

A student pilot successfully landed a plane by herself after her instructor jumped to his death mid-flight She said her instructor told her "You know what to do" before leaping from the aircraft

PASTOR LORAN LIVINGSTON (@CentralChurchNC): “There has never been a Christian nation, and never will be. You don’t live in one now. A Christian nation wouldn’t have killed and displaced 20 million Native Americans, or thought owning slaves was pleasing to God.”
