@vxylily Ya missed loving partner, father, grandfather, son, grandson. You also missed solitude when wanted, but long term relationships that satisfy over a lifetime. Did you know some of us experience joy when giving to others? Just some thoughts from an old guy.
@vxylily Women only have 5 moods:
1. Incessantly b!tchy
2. how we gonna spend money
3. Sleep 14 hours straight
4. Intense cattiness
5. I deserve better (even if you don’t)
@tyromper Remember we have all fallen short and I was also young once. I would hope to use the moment to teach my child if they brought up questions. As the child leaves the nest, society will certainly teach what I don't expose them to. It's human nature to seek forbidden fruits.
Question for dads (parents) out there:
You take your son or daughter to a ball game.
They are 8-9 years old.
Sitting right in front of you is a group of WILD college aged guys.
Swearing constantly, drinking excessively, & creating a bad environment you don't want your kids in.
Do you:
A: Ask them to cool it a bit with the language.
B: Leave & go home.
C: Stay & it is what it is.
D: Other. Tell me.
*Theres no open seats to move to.
Give me your reasoning. 🙏
@madebygps@learntocloud I would like to see Azure because I'm learning it, but I know it's expensive. So, I say self-hosting because I think it would be a better challenge for some of us who are still learning and who desire growth.
Never been in a better financial state than now. Zero debt, 1-year emergency savings, monthly spending less than 50% of income. Maxing out 401k and still have enough to invest in other things while enjoying life the way I want. God is good
🚀 Microsoft just dropped an official AZ-104 YouTube playlist! Perfect for anyone prepping for the Azure Administrator exam. 📺💻

@thedankoe You don’t find your calling.
You remember it.
It’s the signal that never stopped transmitting.. most just forgot how to tune their dial.
The noise of survival drowned the music of meaning.
Until one day…
you feel it again.
And answer.
@thedankoe The best way to hear what really interests you above all the noise is by dedicating some time every day to exploring your interests and curiosities.
Read. Write. Learn. Build something you are truly happy with and focus on it.
You don’t find your calling. You listen for it. Because it’s always calling you.
But most people can't hear it. Too many tasks, bills, and responsibilities they never really chose to take on.
The most important task in your life is to listen for it and act without hesitation.
@thedankoe@madebygps This is the best way I have ever heard calling explained.
I think many people have been lost and unfulfilled because they are in search of purpose and calling.
If they would just get rid of the excess and quiet the noise they would find it's been there all along.
Amazon just launched a few paid apprenticeships! No degree required and all on the job training. You'll work for 1 year learning everything you need to know about Data Center operations then FT. Estimated pay is $24 a hour, $26 an hour after 90 days and $36 an hour after a year.
Focus on effort, not outcomes. It’s insane to tie your wellbeing to things outside of your control, Marcus Aurelius said. If you did your best, if you gave it your all, if you acted with your best judgment—that's a win…regardless of whether it’s a good or bad outcome.
@RyanHoliday@madebygps Thanks for this post. I'm hard on myself because I demand the best from myself because it's my standard of self. But, your comment made me realize what's important. Thanks again!
