@fabknowledge Not a great book, but a fun read if you are into William Gibson and alternate history stuff. Ada Lovelace is a key character: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Diffe…

@given2tweet @Sports_bios I miss him a lot. Super smart, super nice, a real inspiration. I hope his family and his flowers are all doing great.
English

@given2tweet It's interesting for sure. I don't know how much staying power Iran has, but if they can just keep this up, totally agree
English

@given2tweet But don't you realize this war will be over in six months? $buuuuullllish
*GULF, EUROPEAN OFFICIALS SEE US NEEDING 6 MONTHS FOR IRAN DEAL
English

@given2tweet Sounds like an easy talk then. Unless you went with the full LGBTQ, pansexual vs polyamory, etc!
English

@given2tweet "Dad, I must have looked really happy today! Everyone was calling me gay!!!"
English

@given2tweet And then you can mess with their heads, by saying "it means carefree and merry...let's watch the Flintstones and you'll hear in their theme song where they're having 'a gay ole time.'
English

@given2tweet It's wild how much hope/expectation there is that this whole ME mess just stops.

Does anyone know roughly what the actual agreement is supposed to be? Sounds pretty murky on some critical details.

I guess the White House isn't reading X.

@given2tweet And just now (I think): *KUWAIT: 3 POWER, WATER DESALINATION FACILITIES HIT BY IRAN
*KUWAIT: SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO GENERATION, DESALINATION UNITS
Geeez

@given2tweet IRAN TO WITHDRAW FROM TRUCE DEAL IF ATTACKS ON LEBANON CONTINUE...White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt tells me Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire agreement with Iran
Yay?
English

@given2tweet For sure...I don't mean to make light of all the human suffering that I get to avoid.
English

@given2tweet Right, I know the spin on this will be super-human, but even if Iran gets just a big chunk of that, what a win for them.
English

I'm not even sure what all 10 points are exactly, but here's what's been going around:
Iran's 10-point plan includes:1. Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again
2. Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire
3. End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon
4. Lifting of all US sanctions on Iran
5. End to all regional fighting against Iranian allies
6. In return, Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz
7. Iran would impose a Hormuz fee of $2 million per ship
8. Iran would split these fees with Oman
9. Iran to provide rules for safe passage through Hormuz
10. Iran to use Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of reparations
Trump spins a lot of that as a win and goes home...seems like a decent outcome for him vs stuck in some war w/ no end in sight.
English

@given2tweet Obviously no details, but the starting point for the talks is Iran's 10-point plan, which includes charging ships. I can totally see Trump going for that---outsource the cost of rebuilding Iran to the rest of the world, and not caring beyond that.
