Holy smokes. Stephen Miller says he believes that the fraud and waste being uncovered by the Anti-Fraud Taskforce is so widespread, that dealing with it could balance the budget: "This is the fastest in history that a government task force has traveled from creation to action." "Fraud is every bit as bad as President Trump said it was, and even worse ... I believe from what I've seen, from what I've heard, that we could balance the federal budget if the only dollars that went out of the Treasury went to individuals who were properly, lawfully, correctly eligible." If that's even 50% true, we owe it to the American people to not stop until every red cent of fraud is rooted out.

🚨 SCIENTISTS JUST TOOK A MAJOR STEP TOWARD FAULT-TOLERANT QUANTUM COMPUTERS. In a new experiment, researchers built atomic chains of iron on a superconducting Rashba alloy and showed that Majorana zero modes exotic particles that are their own antiparticles remain stable even in the presence of real material disorder. Why this matters: Majorana modes offer topological protection, making quantum bits extremely resistant to errors. Previous platforms were very sensitive to tiny imperfections. This new platform survives disorder far better, bringing us closer to practical, large-scale topological quantum computers. The deeper implication is huge: For decades, material defects were the enemy of quantum hardware. Now they might become part of the solution. We could be watching the birth of quantum computers that actually work reliably in the real world. What happens when fault-tolerant topological qubits finally scale up? Follow for more frontier physics and quantum discoveries.

Dear Gen X, I’ve been watching 80s movies and I just need to know…WHERE WERE YOUR PARENTS?? Every child was just wandering the earth unsupervised like a raccoon with house keys. Riding bikes across town at midnight, fighting ghosts, investigating murders, befriending cryptids, hacking government computers for funsies… And the parents were ALWAYS “out of town” or “working late” while the only adult-adjacent supervision was some random 16-year-old who got dragged into the chaos. No cell phones. No helmets. No adult supervision. Just vibes, life lessons, and several near-death experiences. You all weren’t “raised.” You were lightly monitored feral creatures with a bike and unresolved trauma. I’m genuinely shocked there are enough of you left to populate an entire generation.

🚨 SCIENTISTS MAY HAVE JUST FOUND A COSMIC VERSION OF HEISENBERG’S UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE AND IT COULD EXPLAIN DARK MATTER (OR DARK ENERGY). A bold new theory suggests the universe itself obeys a fundamental fuzziness: its size and rate of expansion cannot be known with perfect precision at the same time just like position and momentum in quantum mechanics. Why this matters: The universe is accelerating faster than it “should.” We call the mysterious driver dark energy (or sometimes link it to dark matter models). But this new idea from theoretical physicist Savvas Koushiappas needs no new particles or forces the acceleration emerges naturally from the universe’s own quantum-like uncertainty at cosmic scales. The deeper implication is mind-bending: Reality on the largest scales may be inherently “fuzzy,” just like the smallest scales. The geometry of spacetime itself carries a built-in uncertainty that could explain why the cosmos is speeding up without invoking exotic vacuum energy or hidden matter. We may be discovering that the universe has its own version of the uncertainty principle woven into its fabric. What happens if this cosmic fuzziness is real? Follow for more frontier physics and cosmic discoveries.

Honored to have the endorsement of my dear friend, @SamuelLJackson Sam has always shown up for the people and causes he believes in - and I am grateful he is showing up for Los Angeles. We’re aligned on the change I’m working to bring to L.A. That means getting more people off the streets into housing and connected with comprehensive services. It means more affordable housing units being built. And it means continuing to lower crime down to historic lows.

When faced with the question "What am I going to do with all of this squash," the answer is ALWAYS fry it. 💁🏼‍♀️ Here’s my recipe: Ingredients ✨ 2-3 squash ✨ 1 c. all-purpose flour ✨ 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal ✨ 2 tsp. salt ✨ 1/2 tsp. black pepper ✨ 1/4 tsp. garlic powder ✨ 1/4 tsp. onion powder ✨ 1/2 c. buttermilk ✨ 1 beaten egg ✨ paprika to taste ✨ tallow Directions: 👉🏼 Wash, trim, and slice the squash into thin slices. Pat dry. 👉🏼 Mix your dry ingredients in one bowl and your wet in another. 👉🏼 Heat your tallow in a cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Test it to make sure it’s ready. 👉🏼 Dip each slice in your buttermilk mixture. Then dredge it in your breading mixture, coating well. 👉🏼 Fry small batches at a time for a few minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on them—they can cook too fast, and you might need to lower the temperature. 👉🏼 Drain on a paper towel-covered plate. Serve with ranch and Texas Pete. Enjoy! ❤️

An owl can eat over 1,000 rodents in a year. If you poison the rodents, you poison the owl. And almost every raptor in the US is already being poisoned. A 2020 Tufts Wildlife Clinic study found that 100% of the red-tailed hawks they tested were positive for anticoagulant rodenticides. Every single bird. A follow-up study of 46 hawks, owls, foxes, and coyotes from a Massachusetts rehab center between 2022 and 2024 found the same thing: 100% had been poisoned. Rat poison works by preventing blood clotting. The rodent doesn't die immediately. It bleeds internally for days, becomes lethargic and easy to catch, and gets eaten by something hungry. The poison moves up the food web in their gut, their liver, their carcass. A single bait box can take out an owl, a hawk, a fox, even a bobcat. The pests you're worried about (mice, rats, voles) are the same pests an owl can take 1,000 of in a year, for free, forever, if you let her. Use snap traps indoors only away from pets. Seal the entry points and lock food away. Put up an owl box. Keep cats inside (they get poisoned eating poisoned rodents too). Rat poison sales need to drop to zero.

The backstory on me being unemployed in the first place is that my boss at my former workplace liked to use threatening to fire people as motivation. Eventually this "management style" ended up causing me panic attacks and I was throwing up every morning so I decided to run through my savings and quit. Now at the 11th hour right as I am about to run out of money, I got hired on the spot. God is good!
