@ChrisMurphyCT Lie. Best known reports are that only 5 senators were present.
English

@NubianAscended @OcrazioCornPop @LeaderJohnThune No. Senate rules require a quorum (51 members present), but there’s a catch: if no one present calls for a quorum check … quorum is *assumed*.
For something like the SAVE act, there would almost certainly have been such a check, and that would be the end of that attempt.
English

@OcrazioCornPop @LeaderJohnThune Wait, what the fuck.
That is LITERALLY 60% Republican. They could have passed the SAVE America Act right then and there without removing the filibuster.
English

🚨 SENATE SELLOUT IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT: While America slept, just 5 Senators showed up at 2AM and rammed through a DHS funding bill by quiet voice vote.
NO debate, NO recorded vote.
The five who were present:
@LeaderJohnThune (R-SD)
Eric Schmitt (R-MO)
Bernie Moreno (R-OH)
Mazie Hirono (D-HI)
Andy Kim (D-NJ)
They funded TSA to "fix" airport lines but ZERO full funding for ICE and Border Patrol.
NO SAVE America Act, no proof of citizenship nor identification to vote.
Now they all prepare to jet off for a 2-WEEK RECESS!
Is this the "Republican leadership" you voted for in 2024?
House SHOULD REJECT this betrayal.
Care to explain this GOP Senate Surrender to voters?
@SenEricSchmitt
@berniemoreno

English

@aggrsvlymoderat @Submariner636B @ChrisMurphyCT Unanimous consent does not mean 100 senators were present. It simply means no one present objected. And by design, that process doesn’t require a log of how each senator voted.
There is zero evidence that 100 senators were present at 2am.
English

@Submariner636B @ChrisMurphyCT Nope it's adults governing while children in the house throw tantrums
If something passes with unanimous consent in the senate- maybe the house is in the wrong for not passing the bipartisan bill...
English

@cailleach_feasa Last year tried to kill me three times. When that failed, it tried to destroy me. I’m still here.
And I’m not as strong as you, Jo.
If you ever want to talk or just rant, let me know.
Regardless…. Archie says “you got this.”

English

@TheJFreakinC The clip literally starts with the context of fraud: lied to get into the country.
She is literally talking about fraud, not a politician deciding who deserves to be here.
English

@ericswalwell The fact that you are still running with this long after the actual facts have come out … well, says everything about you.
She was being escorted to her flight, tried to escape, and then resisted arrest.
English

The shocking video of a mother being wrestled to the ground by ICE agents as her daughter cries in terror is precisely why deploying that rogue agency to airports is a bad idea. Get ICE out of airports, get them out of California, and abolish them.

@dave_alive @Logically_JC @TAWDubAZ Because every radical military force (like the IRGC) loves to hear the leaders they are sworn to… negotiating.
I’m not saying they are. I’m saying it’s not unheard of.
And frankly, the Iranian leadership isn’t exactly known for being upright and honest.
English

@zemkai @Logically_JC @TAWDubAZ No, because that kind of narrative control would get them bombed more. They may talk tough, but they do not want that. Chances are they are not lying about this. I don't know why they would. But the market shows you why trump would.
English

@Logically_JC @TAWDubAZ Are you serious? To control the narrative, either internally or internationally.
This is well understood. Clausewitz. Sun-Tzu.
“All warfare is based on Deception.”
English

I didn’t say I believe Iran, just pointing out that they are denying the talks ever happened.
But there’s an obvious issue here.
Why would they lie about “productive” negotiations?
The entire point is to arrive at a resolution.
The talks are either not productive, or non-existent.
I have no idea which it is.
English

@Dylan_Lee12 @MichelD2005 @CrazyCactusAZ2 @timjhogan Democrats are refusing to vote for a bill that has already passed the House.
English

@zemkai @MichelD2005 @CrazyCactusAZ2 @timjhogan No, dumbass. They’re saying democrats compromised with republicans to keep the country open and republicans refuse to even come tot he table.
English

@MichelD2005 @CrazyCactusAZ2 @timjhogan So you’re saying … republicans put country over party but democrats don’t? Okay.
English

@CrazyCactusAZ2 @timjhogan Biden had the exact same margins and the government never shut down. This is number 4 for Trump.
English

@KeithBenningho2 @GothicGoddessAZ @IMAO_ Because the person he was replacing was killed suddenly. … maybe you should read the book. It explains all of it.
English

@GothicGoddessAZ @IMAO_ Sooooo he’s smart enough to save the earth but too dumb to figure out he’s being groomed to be the backup. Question if he was the backup, why spring it on him in the last minute where they need to force him to do it. Seems kinda counterintuitive 😝
English

@MisterGoodShit @Jayysein She’s been in several things since.
She was great as Judge Anderson in Dredd.
English

@Mike96W @2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj My God, you’re serious.
lol. Can’t help you. Won’t waste more time trying.
English

@zemkai @2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj I’m not trolling, I was just asking you to expand on your “insofar as circumstances permit”
We’ve gathered that they certainly could have saved some people, and that it was their legal obligation to do so.
English

Do you think they tried to rescue survivors which is required under international law
Department of War 🇺🇸@DeptofWar
English

@Mike96W @2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj Ah. Well done. Up until now I thought you might have been serious. But you were obviously trolling.
Well done. Have a good one!
English

@zemkai @2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj It’s entirely relevant. You said subs lack facilities, and yet subs have such facilities.
English

@Mike96W @esjesjesj So the other reasons are good enough. Excellent.
English

@Mike96W @2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj Irrelevant. You were not present at this one. Nor was I. So what does the law say, Mike?
English

@Mike96W @esjesjesj One - and the last - in a list of four.
Well done.
What about the others, Mike?
English

Craig McLaughlin@zemkai
@2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj It's a submarine. Submarines: 1) do not carry small craft like ships do. 2) have limited deck space. 3) have limited, if any capacity to carry prisoners. 4) would have to surface, making them vulnerable to attack. These are well understood precedents going back to WW2.
QME

@Mike96W @2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj Because it is irrelevant. A sub lacks rescue capabilities as has been pointed out repeatedly.
Your fixation is not my problem to solve.
English

@zemkai @2tittiesrfun @esjesjesj They agree with me, that there was ~ no operational risk, something that you deny but cannot justify your point.
English

@Mike96W @esjesjesj Where did I say they could be vulnerable to attack, Mike?
I referenced the rules and I pointed to history. I pointed out several factors limiting rescue capabilities.
And I pointed out that notifying neutral parties was allowed and that they did that.
English

@zemkai @esjesjesj You said that they could not and did not attempt to save anyone, because, among other reasons, they could be vulnerable to attack.
This is a lie.
English

@Skyislandia @ConservativeCD @richimedhurst I would think the tone of my response would answer that. Maybe the multiple exclamation points were just too subtle.
Oh well! Have a nice life!
English
