I don’t usually complain about life, and when something bad, sad, or difficult happens, I rarely share it with my friends or people in real life, only sometimes here. Generally, I don’t care much about what others think of me; it’s not important. But when people close to you have the wrong idea about who you are, it’s harder to ignore. Last night I was talking with a few friends who were complaining about how bad everything is, how they don’t have time for the gym, work, or anything else. I asked how much they sleep, and they said around seven hours on average. I told them, “How do you expect to outperform others like that?” Half jokingly, I added, “A man shouldn’t sleep that much; he should always be working.” Then one of them snapped back, saying I’m not like that myself and acting as if I’ve never gone through anything difficult. At that moment I wanted to say, Where were you when I was sleeping three or four hours a night for six or seven years straight? What were you doing when I lost half a million in a single day? didn’t say it ofc. stayed quiet and tried not to care. Still, it felt strange; so many people think they’re doing a lot when, in reality, they’re not. tired of people nagging and complaining about life.
