Only one conclusion, I guess? 🤔
@SukhansAsrani Totally. And even though it's hard to compare the amount of work done by looking at commits alone, it's pretty easy to compare it for a single user between different years.
Considering switching to using VSCode as my primary IDE, but I'm too lazy to relearn every hotkeys...
Is there a well-trained GPT chatbot that understands VSCode very well and can help me answer 100 "how to do X in VSCode" questions?
Things like:
- how to duplicate/delete a line
- how to open a file in a vertical/horizontal split
- how to select the next matching word and activate multi-cursor
- how to jump to previous cursor position
- etc.
@agazdecki I feel that especially the software industry is blessed with allowing anyone to build a first prototype for your startup without (a lot of) money. Imagine doing that for physical products.
You don’t need a logo, business cards, website, dark mode, money to launch a startup.
You just need skill sets to solve a specific problems for a specific customer.
Figure the rest out as you go.
@agazdecki What is often forgotten is that this also makes you learn about yourself: figuring out how you handle a "live" environment is a very educational experience.
@colorsofchloe What may help is taking a moment at a crucial point of a meeting (for example, at the end) to "raise your hand" and take a clear moment to share your thoughts in isolation
i never quite understood why people ended up going with the loudest person in the room. quiet people have great ideas too, but i guess we're just not heard?
