@SynthPotato This is one of those things gamers get wrong and it's kind of an internet "original sin" issue. PlayStation Network running an online signaling server plus profiles, friends lists, leaderboards, cross saves, messages, voice/video chat, online remote play for free is costly.

Hot take: Online gaming should be completely free, this is a completely arbitrary price with no real benefit. There is no "market condition" that should result in what is a free service on PC, to consistently increase in price just because you're on console.

People forget these companies don't pocket most of the money they make, it goes to keeping EVERY aspect of the company afloat to prevent having to due layoffs. Sony deserve L's for being morons, though.

The "Nostalgia" argument is so incredibly weak and easy to disprove. No anime with the personal and cultural impact DB has could be bad, point blank period. Entire generations of Mangaka were inspired by this, loved this, both children and adults. So many people inspired to improve themselves or hit the gym. There's a reason Toriyama's death was mourned worldwide. The truth is DragonBall and the story of Son Goku has touched the hearts of countless people and that is proof of it's quality.
