It's my first time going from 🇻🇳 to 🇺🇸 (14-hour difference), and I didn't feel a single thing about jet lag. I may have accidentally found the trick: - Plan your flight to arrive at ~5pm - Settle at your stay, rest for a bit - Head straight to the bar, grab a few friends if you can, and have some fun - Drink just enough to feel sleepy, then go back & sleep at ~0am - Wake up at 7am the next day & feel awesome 😎

@duborges i’m using tailscale with no complaints. it probably doesn’t matter. if i did it again i’d probably use cloudflare as i use them as a proxy for all my servers anyhow so it’s a simpler security model.

going back to @opencode cli it was a mistake to "couple" myself with claude code cli since i can only use claude models there and now, since i'm not happy with claude code opus 4.7, my workflows are kind of stuck there

Why is Canonical so unstable recently? Every other day something is down. Examples I encountered over the week with customers: April 28, 2026: Major incident . Multiple services affected (general "Down" status). April 27, 2026: Multiple major incidents. Ubuntu Security API components impacted. April 25, 2026: "Ubuntu" and related components (e.g., blog.ubuntu.com) reported Down on the websites status page. "Livepatch API" was also down for more than twice in this week.

claude sonnet 3.5 was the golden age, tabbing along in Cursor. it felt like a wonderful time

I’ve been using Claude Code since July of 2025, and have been on the Max plan the entire time. There was a solid 6 months when Claude was fantastic. The models worked great. And things could be predicable. After 4.6 things started to change, and known behaviors started changing. That’s not bad, models change. The importance here is the model didn’t ~regress~ on my own workflows and integrated seamlessly-enough that it didn’t bother me. 4.7 has changed that. Ever since its release I have fought this model. On behavior. On knowledge. On ~laziness~ especially, something the prior models I found for my tasks had no such issues. This model is the first I cannot rely on. Yes, insert one should never rely on a 3rd party model, but for those of you working this industry you know we still do to some extent. This will be the only tweet I do this rant, but after 10 months of using Claude, I’m gone.
