I don’t fully trust the "TrustMRR" revenue numbers. There’s massive survivorship bias, it’s basically a place where builders only show up once they have something to flex.
IndiePage data feels far more representative, because it’s a builder profile page where people list all their projects, not just the successful ones. So I scraped 301 IndiePage profiles publicly indexed on Google and collected 1,256 valid products (sorry Marc, my crawler was lightweight 😅). The reality I found is pretty harsh:
🎯 88.38% make $0
🎯 6.93% make $1–$1k
🎯 3.42% make $1k–$10k
🎯 0.88% make $10k–$100k
🎯 0.40% make $100k–$1M
🎯 0% make $1M+
Reality is brutal for indie hackers, stay conscious, and keep building.
