The driving instructor (who was supervising a learner driver) was unaware of the rules on window tints when pulled over near Rochdale this morning. Found to be below the 70% minimum. Instructor reported and told to remove tints. Excuse: “I bought it like this”.

@Jonthemon6 @gmptraffic @AussieBunyip It’s pretty clear additional tint has been added and a driving instructor should be a lot more clued up than the average driver. Says in the post, legal limit of light required 70%, light actual being allowed 42%, so a little more than mild!

@gmptraffic @AussieBunyip Obviously he didn’t know any tint had been added, again, they don’t look that tinted compared to some that are clearly illegal Bizarre that you be prosecuted for a mild tint on the front side windows of the car, yet you can wear dark tinted sunglasses while driving no problem

@gmptraffic Are you sure it’s a 3.5 tonner, not a 5.5 tonner? Looks like either very wide rear wheel or two wheels side by side. No excuse for insecure load though

CVU officers stopped this van in Eccles and found it to be significantly overweight at 5.3t with an insecure load. The vehicle was immediately prohibited, and the driver was dealt with for the offences identified. Keeping unsafe vehicles off our roads helps keep everyone safer.

Not all "Professional drivers" are "Professional drivers" This on duty private hire driver was stopped on Ashton Old Road for overly aggressive driving and overtakes in heavy traffic. It gets worse, arrested for drug driving and having no insurance.
