@DavoustBaldPate @ASBaird Kids all over the world are starting "the club of spies" in tree houses and back yards. Imagine if "the club of spies" number fifty-seven and number ninety-four decided to gang up on number eighty-three and say "you're not a real club of spies like us."

One of the biggest obstacles we face to growing as a church and strengthening each other as Saints is our absolutely insane and obsessive need to nitpick other members of the church over the dumbest imaginable BS. I can’t imagine having an entire universe of gospel topics to discuss and instead choosing to arrogantly proclaim that members of the church who don’t adhere strictly to your personal beliefs around your gospel hobbyhorse are doing it wrong. Wear (or don’t wear) the cross however you want. This account might have snagged the Twitter handle, but it doesn’t make it the actual truth.
Latter-day Truth@Latterdaytruth

Hot take: I still don’t think Latter-day Saints should wear crosses.

Now hang on just one minute. I was there when there were church leaders saying wearing a cross was idolatry. I read the books published by LDS apostles that said the Catholic Church was "the whore of all the earth" and specifically brought up the cross iconography. I listened to conference talks when leadership proclaimed that god's truths never change and that the core doctrines would always remain the same. It's in living memory. This isn't about people being petty. It was a Big Deal back then. You can't have it both ways! Were the prophets speaking on behalf of god, or not? Were they making statements about infinite absolute truth, or not?

Requiring payment to begin a free trial is a dark pattern. I always disengage when someone requires my payment information to do something "free." Looking at you @LinkedIn. Acting like some nutraceutical snake oil company.

Name one creative, collaborative, technical, investigative, or any kind of thought work where approaching a problem angry and impatient gets to an answer faster than being curious, interested, and open minded.

In less than 10 minutes, Elder Tad R. Callister illustrates how Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. “Some are willing to set aside the precious gospel truths restored by Joseph Smith because they get diverted on some historical issue or some scientific hypothesis not central to their exaltation, and in so doing they trade their spiritual birthright for a mess of pottage.”

I am constantly amazed and surprised to re-discover the fact that disrespect, condescension, willful ignorance, narcissism, micro management, and overall toxicity in the workplace can destroy a startup that otherwise has a perfect setup for mass success.

Scammer: "you won a prize." Me: "you are a scammer." S: "come down to such and such and fill out this thing and -" M: "I don't have time for all that." S, frustrated: "YOU DON'T DESERVE IT ANYWAY!"

Utah, with a terrible drought looming and Great Salt Lake emergency brewing, with the world falling into World War III, passes a bill about teaching Bible verses in school, for US civic context. We're including other religious texts with historical significance too, right?

Or, dictating into a tape recorder, then listening back and typing up what you said. Or, writing notes on paper, then "digitizing" them afterward.

Two decades ago, some older coworkers printed emails, then physically filed them. Today: "I'm iterating on static html prototypes with Claude." "Why not make React components directly?" "We need a prototype before we start implementing the frontend."

You claim kids under 6 "ski free" but you want to charge me $60 for my kid to have a pass even though I'm buying a season pass for myself and $600 of lessons for my kid? @BrightonResort out here nickel and diming people for no reason.

I'm looking at a season pass and little rippers program for my kid for next season at @BrightonResort. $5 each for "media cards," after I'm about to drop nearly $2,000 - feels like a huge slap in the face.

Does anyone else basically dislike markdown? I'm dismayed it seems to be the most common format AI wants to use for every problem.
