Please have your team prioritize a fix for XChat it is broken. If you receive lots of inbound messages it stops showing search results after a few weeks. The forced migration from legacy DMs to XChat effectively made all of your legacy messages disappear from search. As a X user for many years it has negatively impacted my work and forces me to consider other chat platforms. You now manually have to remember and visit the profile to view old messages meaning they are basically lost if you are a user who receives 1K+ messages / month.

When Muslims gain full state power, the historical pattern undoubtedly repeats itself: • Armenia (1894–1923) → approx. 1.5 million Christians were murdered • Assyrian Genocide (1914–1923) → approx. 300,000 Christians were massacred • Greek Genocide (1913–1922) → approx. 1 million Christians were killed or expelled • Bangladesh (1971) → approx. 3 million Hindus were murdered • East Timor (1975–1999) → approx. 200,000 Christians died • Sudan (1983–2005) → approx. 2 million Christians and followers of indigenous religions were eradicated as part of the official Jihad • Nigeria (2009–present) → over 125,000 Christians have been murdered in a silent war Genocide (inter-societal groups) Every time Islam gained total political and military dominance over non-Muslims, the outcome was the same. - @kiankerman

There's a physicist at Stanford named Safi Bahcall who modeled this exact principle and the math is wild. He calls it "phase transitions in human networks." When you're stationary, your probability of a lucky event is limited to your existing surface area: the people you already know, the places you already go, the ideas you've already been exposed to. Your opportunity window is fixed. When you move, your collision rate with new nodes in a network increases nonlinearly. Double your movement (new conversations, new cities, new projects) and your probability of a serendipitous encounter doesn't double. It roughly quadruples. Because each new node connects you to their entire network, not just to them. Richard Wiseman ran a 10-year study at the University of Hertfordshire tracking self-described "lucky" and "unlucky" people. The single biggest differentiator wasn't IQ, education, or family money. Lucky people scored significantly higher on one trait: openness to experience. They talked to strangers more, varied their routines more, and said yes to invitations at nearly twice the rate. The "unlucky" group followed the same routes, ate at the same restaurants, and talked to the same 5 people. Their networks were closed loops. No new inputs, no new collisions. Luck isn't random. Luck is surface area. And surface area is a function of movement. The lobster emoji is doing more work than most people realize. Lobsters grow by shedding their shell when it gets too tight. The growth requires a period of total vulnerability. No protection, no armor, soft body exposed to the ocean. That's the cost of movement nobody posts about. You have to be uncomfortable first. The new shell only hardens after you've already moved.

I think this is the most insane thing the CIA has ever made public. 😨 They have a secret AI tool called Ghost Murmur. It detects your heartbeat from 40 miles away using AI. Not your phone. Not a tracker. Not a radio signal. Your heartbeat. It uses sensors built from synthetic diamonds to lock onto the electromagnetic fingerprint your heart produces every single beat, then pairs it with AI to filter that one signal from 1,000 square miles of noise. Last week, a wounded American pilot was hiding in a mountain crevice in Iran. No phone. No tracker. No way to call for help. America found him anyway. From the sky. By listening to his chest. But nobody mentioned the most important detail. This was Ghost Murmur's first operational use. It's been sitting classified for years. Tested. Ready. Waiting. They didn't reveal it to impress you. They revealed it because the rescue was already public. Every technology a government admits to is the one they've already moved past. Your heart has been broadcasting your location your entire life. Someone just built the receiver.

In the aftermath of WW2, Hong Kong was a bombed-out British colony of 600,000 refugees, with no natural resources and a per capita income lower than many African nations. But by the 1980s it had become one of the richest places on earth. The man most responsible was John Cowperthwaite, Financial Secretary from 1961 to 1971. Cowperthwaite refused to plan the economy. He cut taxes to a flat 15 %, scrapped tariffs and subsidies, rejected industrial policy, and even stopped collecting detailed economic statistics - lest civil servants use the numbers to meddle. “I did very little”, he said. “All I did was to try to prevent some of the things that might have been done.” Government spending stayed below 15 % of GDP. Markets, not ministers, decided what to produce. The result was explosive growth: poverty collapsed, skyscrapers rose, and Hong Kong’s income overtook Britain’s. Today, most Western governments still strangle their economies with taxes and regulations, ignoring the lesson Hong Kong proved: the surest path to prosperity is to get out of the way.
