As a guy who exercises, loves his family and showers every day, the amount of content in Diablo 4 is offensive

@solgob_ There is a positive side to it though - the quality of that content. The previous games were much more interesting.

@laporterbooks Accessing the future from the present? Sounds useful.

Most sci-fi is about the future. Mine isn’t. It’s about people who can access time… but aren’t supposed to. Not control it. Not change it. Just… see it. #SciFi

@laporterbooks Of course. I’d just want to know which specific stocks I bought in the future and how they performed. Having that information just once in a lifetime would be more than enough.

Alright here’s one: If you could know one truth about your future, would you actually want it?

@Supamalaman Because the human brain finds it easier to live with a closed picture of the world, which science can never provide. Some people, instead of leaving question marks, choose to fill those gaps with more comfortable and "certain" claims.

@Chronodendron It’s hard to even think about it. How can you buy a book written by someone you dislike? It feels like taking injections of poison.

It’s getting harder and harder to separate the artist from the art these days. But would you be more likely to buy a book because you like the author, or not to buy it because you don’t? #WritingCommunity

Unfortunately, AI won’t do any of that for one simple reason: it’s a tool for corporations to make money. They provide just enough benefit to keep you hooked but not an ounce more. It is like diseases or wars. If we put all our effort into solving them, the results would be incredible. But you can't make money that way, so we have what we have.

We mock people who form relationships with AI, but we don’t talk about how many humans have lost trust in other humans. AI can work as a bridge, helping us heal, teaching us to trust again, and eventually leading us back to human connection.

Instead of recommending a book on how to read properly, I’ll just describe the methods. I haven’t even finished books about "how not to read books" because I’ve already learned these lessons the hard way through my own experience and wasted time. The logic is simple: Cut the junk. If the intro and first sentences are empty, the whole book is filler. Drop it early. Dont waste time on low quality content. Use filters. Follow lists from people who think like you to skip the noise. Get the point and move on.

Have you ever read a book by an author that was so good it made you want to read everything else they've written?
