Hot take: Prop accounts where you need to build a buffer first are a scam. What do you mean I have to make 3k to pass, then another 2k I can’t even withdraw… and only after that I’m allowed to get paid?

@tetranow @RickRubin Yeah there’s been a young resurgence in Church and faith especially Orthodox Christianity. I think largely because Orthodoxy offers such an ancient and traditional worship (largely unchanged from its inception) and the kids are yearning for some authentic spiritual connection.

Adam Neumann on the quiet revolution: “Young people are interested in going to church. For years and years and years, the people who went to church were getting older and older, and the amount of people was declining, declining, declining, declining. And something happened, in the last few years, where young people are interested in going to church. More Bibles are being sold. Something’s happening. 100%. It's everywhere you go. People are more open. People are ready for it. It's natural. As technology is going to make us more and more digitally connected. We are going to feel more and more disconnected. The more disconnected that we feel, the more we’re going to crave a real connection. A real connection will never come by buying another car or buying another house, or owning another material. A real connection comes from the inside. A person who has unity from the inside, has unity to the outside.”
Tetragrammaton@tetranow

This is untrue and bullshit but the part about Micheal Caine actually is true. He said no one saw HL in full joker form and when Micheal Caine first came off the elevator that was his first full glimpse of how HL was portraying him. He did say it terrified him and that initially he thought it may have been “too far”

She wasn't acting. And Ledger knew it. Heath Ledger refused to do the full Joker in rehearsals. No voice, no laugh, no mannerisms. Christian Bale confirmed Ledger only turned the character on when cameras rolled. The cast had no idea what was coming. This is the party scene. Ledger is holding a knife to Gyllenhaal's face telling a fake story about his scars. Gyllenhaal couldn't maintain eye contact. She was genuinely trying to pull away from him. She was silently looking at Nolan to stop the scene. Ledger saw her break eye contact and improvised the line "Look at me." Four syllables that turned a scripted scene into something nobody on set could control. Michael Caine forgot his lines the first time he saw Ledger in full Joker. A 75-year-old actor with 130 films on his résumé, and his brain locked up. Caine wrote in his memoir last year that Ledger was "a lovely guy, very gentle and unassuming" between takes. Skateboarded around set. Then the camera turned on and everyone on the crew froze. The film made $1 billion. Ledger won a posthumous Oscar, only the second actor in history to do so. He died six months before the movie opened. He was 28. The performance that redefined what a villain could be in a studio film was built on a simple trick: never let your scene partners rehearse against the real thing. When they finally see it, you get something a director can't manufacture. Actual fear on actual faces. That's what Nolan saw through the monitor. And that's why he didn't say cut.
I'm Batman@BatmanTweetzz

you can literally see her looking at Nolan, waiting for him to say cut.... 💀🙌🏻

This war has nothing to do with Irans nuclear capacity, liberating the Iranian people, or tapping into their oil. All of this discourse shows how lost all these politicians are and that they are completely in the dark. There’s another government operating within ours and it’s clear to see.

Sure, your eyes aren’t tricking you. That clip looks better than the new trailer, and the reason has nothing to do with talent. The VFX supervisor on Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014? Jerome Chen. The VFX supervisor on Brand New Day? Also Jerome Chen. Same person. Completely different system around him. In 2014, Chen had 50 effects artists at Sony Imageworks, the largest VFX crew the studio had ever put on a single project. They handled about 1,000 of the film’s 1,600 VFX shots on a $255 million budget. The crew shot on real film (not digital), on location in actual New York City, scanned Times Square with 36,000 photographs of over 100 billboards, and built physical lighting rigs on set so the CGI would match the real world. Now look at how Marvel makes Spider-Man movies. No Way Home had 2,500 VFX shots spread across 12 studios and about 3,000 artists. The budget was $200 million, $55 million less than TASM2 despite having 56% more VFX shots. Digital Domain, one of the VFX vendors, was delivering final shots days before the December 17, 2021, release. They kept reworking shots into mid-January, after the movie was already in theaters. Zoom out, and the math gets worse. Marvel released 6 films between 2008 and 2012. From 2023 to 2025, they pushed out 7 films and 7 TV shows. The Hollywood union representing VFX workers reported that Marvel pays artists about 20% below industry average and staffs one person where other studios hire three. Artists described 64-hour weeks and breakdowns on the job. Then, in February 2025, Technicolor, the parent company of MPC (three-time Oscar winner for Life of Pi, The Jungle Book, and 1917), collapsed almost overnight. 4,500 jobs gone globally. The studio had been actively working on Disney and Paramount films when the lights went out. Brand New Day has four months before release, and trailers routinely show unfinished shots. But the gap between a 2014 Spider-Man and a 2026 Spider-Man has nothing to do with technology going backwards. The industry has been asked to do three times the work for less money per shot while its biggest studios are going under.

FIRST LOOK: Val Kilmer has been resurrected via AI to star in the new movie "As Deep as the Grave." Kilmer was cast in the movie in 2020, five years before his death. But he was too sick amid his throat cancer battle to ever make it to set. Now an AI version of the actor is appearing in the film, with the full blessing of his daughter, Mercedes: "He always looked at emerging technologies with optimism as a tool to expand the possibilities of storytelling. This spirit is something that we are all honoring within this specific film, of which he was an integral part.” “He was the actor I wanted to play this role,” says writer-director Coerte Voorhees. “It was very much designed around him. It drew on his Native American heritage and his ties to and love of the Southwest... His family kept saying how important they thought the movie was and that Val really wanted to be a part of this. He really thought it was important story that he wanted his name on. It was that support that gave me the confidence to say, okay let’s do this. Despite the fact some people might call it controversial, this is what Val wanted.” wp.me/pc8uak-1lH1PI
