As of now, just over half of the licenses issued in the US are REAL ID compliant. That means we still have time and power to reject it entirely. If you have a REAL ID, go back to the DMV and request a regular ID. If you live in a state that does not issue a normal license, explore other options such as getting one in another state or simply not having a license to drive (you would have to weigh the risks). This is too important to let slide. We must send a signal: the people of the United States do not want the government to control them.

@7SEES_ I don't see any issue solved by crypto except government issues (tracking). All we needed was a way to transfer ownership of something physical digitally, and we get a permanent records of every transaction instead.

Crypto encapsulates everything wrong with the fiat currency system, while offering none of the privacy or security of physical representation. If you can't physically defend your assets, you don't really own them. Every bankers wet dream. Fiating currency was a mistake, and crypto is a double down. A fiat of fiat. Every transaction recorded, trackable, permanent. All it takes is a law in Congress or an Executive Order and the "promised privacy and security" in any White Paper goes away. Massive international computational systems aggregating identifying information associated with transactions. The second you buy into the chain, the On Ramp associates your Wallet ID with your debit/credit card, even with Chains that don't require KYC. Besides, the On/Off Ramps can be disabled easily, and remotely. No real world utility, all transactions done through state-privy hardware, software, and networks. Most every populated Chain is rife with whales that are the same actors from institutional banking, able to collude and rig markets without the need for it to be tied to any company stock or nation state. Zero accountability for anyone except "the will of the market". And they all have usury baked right in, they just call it "gas fees". Crypto is the ideal currency of the One World Government.
